Song Saturday - Set It Off + Wilbur Soot
Nov. 5th, 2022 10:39 amYeah so I said I’d get better at Song Saturday and I… *checks* haven’t posted one since September. Ugh. Ah well, Set It Off posted a new video yesterday so figured that’d be a perfect thing, so here is Dangerous.
It continues on in a similar vein from the other Elsewhere videos in that it’s bright (and the boys make up feels on point). But it feels a little… disjointed. I think that can’t be helped cause the song is pretty short anyway. I think it’s strange that it ended up focusing on the receptionist from Skeleton and a dolls house (what’s the deal with that?) though the boys stuck in the wall is kinda…
I wonder if this means there’ll be another video coming soon, because it wouldn’t surprise me. I guess we’ll see.
(It did make me check if the vip is still there and the one option is though it feels still too pricey)

I had considered a few times since Soft Boy came out to use it as a song Saturday but… everything happened *gestures*. Anyway Soft Boy is a weird thing, because it’s felt like it’s been a long time coming? I swear since from the first time I watched Wilbur people were asking about Soft Boy and for the longest time I wasn’t sure what it was. Was it a song? A video? An album? I honestly had no idea.
Turns out it is a song with a video (and not a long one either) so I’m not sure why it took so long. It’s pretty odd though and it kinda makes Soft boy Wilbur out to be pathetic (just wear the cat ears damnit!) especially with him getting turned on by his reflection which is kinda…
Speaking of Wilbur he actually did a stream last night, which felt like it went off the rails pretty quickly. Especially when Quackity joined vc suddenly and their weird sexual tension thing floated around (I know that’s the how Quackity seems to be with literally every guy he meets, but it seems almost as prominent with Wilbur as it does with Foolish… ok not that far because Quackity twirls his hair when foolish is around but still). I hope Quackity does go to the la gig and they sing welcome to the black parade on stage, that would be so insane
Oddly during the stream (though Wilbur didn’t bring it up) additional dates for his band Lovejoy got announced including a date for Birmingham! Ah! I’ve signed up for the presale Wednesday and I’m gonna try and get a ticket (I say try tickets go insanely fast for the other dates). Thankfully the venue seems kinda bigger than the others so I might have a shot (funnily it’s the smaller room at the venue I’m seeing Set It Off).
I ended up watching one thing I’d missed on Wednesday, about what potential first contact would be like (it was part documentary, part dramatisation) and then later on (after tired after watching some streams) I watched some more Treehouse of horror eps (i was sure the black hole one was earlier than xxiii but…)
Yesterday I also did some gaming which was mostly two things. First was Fortnite where I did some quests and later did a tournament (I got 45 points which I thought was pretty good especially since I never managed to kill anyone). And I also unlocked the Han and Leia bundle yay! It’s strange that both have three outfits, but they’re from A New Hope and Return Of The Jedi but not one from Empire too. Maybe one will get added later. (Of course I switched to Leia)
The second game was Cult of the lamb. I’ve unlocked most of the things in the cult itself now (though still need stuff to build buildings, and I can’t figure out the missionary things) but I beat the second bishop and unlocked Anchordeep which is pretty and I like the music. I’d have probably done more to it but it glitched out mid run and trapped me in a room despite all the enemies in it being dead.
It feels like everyone is releasing merch now which is just… ugh. Extra money is in soon so I should be able to get something, though I kinda wanna hold off too in case anything gets reduced or there’s codes. (Though I’m still surprised the Las Nevadas stuff is still around.) I think most things have come though, but I’m still waiting on a qwertee delivery (I’m giving it a few days causa the strikes then chasing it up)
Ficcing wise Imdid some but not as much as I’d hoped. I wrote a dream team intro for the kinkverse here because I’m thinking of going back to that after a long hiatus and I have kinda ideas (ok I only have one set in stone but my brain has been kinda buzzing). I wanna finish the things I have open now before going back to it. I’m hoping to finish something tonight cause I got a burst to work on something before sleep and I feel close to an end (and an end with something else) and I just need to figure out how to. Hmm
Tonight is Bonfire night which means I have to keep the pets in. I think the whole thing is just… odd. America sets off fireworks to celebrate its independence and most other countries have similar reasons for using fireworks. Us? We celebrate an attempted terrorist attack against the government. It just seems… incredibly strange to me.
(There was an extra annoyance the other night too because my bracelet came apart for no reason just before I went to sleep ugh)
Anyway, I’m gonna head off now and… I dunno. It’s raining so we probably won’t walk Naryu and we’ll just watch Brokenwood, maybe something else and then Strictly. And maybe I’ll watch Trick R treat or cabinet some more tonight. I guess we’ll see.
