Song Saturday - CG5

First is CG5’s new song Strangest Thing, which came out yesterday. (Which I meant to watch then but wasn’t up to it.) It’s a song inspired by Stranger Things and the vid is pretty good at recreating locations (well the ones I recognise anyway, I’ve still only seen season 1, oop).
I’ll be honest though the big draw for me was knowing Eret was in it. There was a pic posted of them both together from the set, with Eret dressed as a doctor and covered in blood. Alas their appearance in this is only a fleeting cameo which is a shame.
I know it’s a but early to be repeating songs for song Saturday, but I think it’s appropriate to post Injustice again. I’ll admit, parts of the song hit different when I heard it again this morning. But it’s still such a good song. Money made from plays of it on YouTube and Spotify go to the sarcoma foundation, which is the type of cancer Techno passed from.
The outpouring of grief following his death has been so emotional to see. One thing that got me last night was when the official minecraft twitter made a tweet on his passing? It was such a sweet thing to see and it’s been followed up today with them updating the minecraft launcher (at least on pc) to add a crown to the a pig on the launch screen in his memory.
Today Wilbur did a stream, with Philza telling stories about Techno in his memory. It was so sweet, but also so sad (especially by the end when they mentioned Tommy hadn’t met him). By the end I was teary, but I especially did when Wilbur said everything from the book him and Tommy are doing is going to the foundation (and telling us to remember him). And it was spooky he dreamed about him.
Personally I grew less numb over the day yesterday. The sadness would come and go like the tide, mostly whenever I saw someone post a thing or something. I’m still a bit… I dunno. But watching the stream kinda helped, oddly.
Today I watched some of the Orville and damn. The third and fourth eps really went hard huh? It really shows how it’s not afraid to take things seriously, which is actually impressive.
Other than that. I finished my book, so I’ll start Lesser Known Monsters last book soon. And I also beat Vader on Firtnite last night… somehow.
