Song Saturday - Fightstar

So I missed the last song Saturday oops. But I’m doing one now, for Fightstar.

First is Deathcar, which TW for blood/gore.

So Deathcar is a vid that has the lead singer, Charlie, abducted off the street by his bandmates, strapped down in a ‘Deathcar’ and then operated on (hence the blood but it’s only in the last minute) with his heart removed. The video is much more juttery then I remember it being, but Iguess it’s fighting. I also found out why it was so juttery: the video was filled for only £500 so it’s pretty impressive for what they could do with it.

Also they all look hot, and Omar, the drummer, is Unf with long hair.

The next song is Floods which was the very next single and it’s vastly different. In some ways it’s simpler, the band is performing in just one room, but in other ways it’s clear more money was spent on it with cgi of London being flooded. (I looked on wiki to see if it was from a film or something, but it seems like it was done especially for the video which shows the difference in money spent on them.)

Both songs show the range of the band, with Deathcar being much more agreesive and Floods being more gentle, though the subject is about climate change hence the video.

As to the band themselves, Fightstar is a British rock band, started by the singer Charlie. He was in the band Busted and started Fightstar as a side project, but it turned out to be a much bigger thing than he expected and he ended up focussing on the band. I’ve seen them tour a few times, including a signing at hmv once, the band is on hiatus currently which is a shame, though I’m sure they’ll come back at some point.

Yesterday ended up being a tiring day because we went down to sainsburys cause mum wanted clothes and ugh, it felt like we were there forever, with her looking at pretty much everything and being being tired at the end upend of it. Mum did suggest beforehand that we could go to the burger king there, but the clouds went so dark and it didn’t feel worth staying there.

It made me so tired and I dozed in the afternoon and had an early night.

Today when we walked the pup we saw tiny baby frogs! They were so cute and it was funny because we’d just said that we’d not seen them before,

Gonna snuggle now and watch Lego con later, then Oceans 8 since it’s on tv and I’ve not seen it before,

I also still need to go through the dreamwidth tabs I have open, maybe later.
