Yesterday was pretty eventful as days go. There was finally a trailer for the new Animal Crossing update (which goes live at 1 tonight). The update is mostly focussed on Festivale which is next month but the trailer was actually pretty thin in the ground on details. I mean it didn’t even show what rewards you get (some screenshots posted later seem to show them though and they look nice).
Some are disappointed at how small the update seems to be too and yeah, they’re right from what it looks like. With the focus on one event there could be quality of life updates but there doesn’t seem to be, which is a surprise especially as there’s not another update till March (which has at least Mario stuff).
I didn’t do too much in the day, mostly because of the food shop coming, but in the night I ended up writing. I’m not sure what happened but my creativity seemed to have ended up unlocking. So I did a fair few paragraphs of the Diego/Luther request fic, only really stopping for the next thing.
That next thing being the Elder Scrolls Online stream. It was the reveal of what this year’s yearlong event is going to be. We knew it was going to be called Gates Of Oblivion from a trailer the other month so this was more details. Namely that the main chapter coming in June is called Blackwood and it’s (as the name implies) set in locations featured in one of the last games, Oblivion. (Which I have but have never actually played.) it all looks pretty cool and there was some free drops on twitch just for watching . (And the new merch looks so cool.) it is amusing how many people are thirsting over the games villain though, even some of the official people let it slip.
There was also a follow up with the uk team today and I caught some and, to my surprise, ESO was in development before Skyrim and it’s popularity caught them off guard and led them to a major change in style.
Today we were meant to head to get mum’s meds this morning, but she overslept so we ended up going this afternoon. Which ended up being pretty good as I ordered Tumblebee a friend, Chester Mcfreckle, and he came this morning. He’s not quite as cuddly as Tumblebee but is still cute.
The trip to get mum’s meds went ok, because the rain washed the snow away. While mum got meds I got pet stuff from pets at home. That was all it was gonna be, but I figured I should pop in sainsburys which I’ve not done for awhile other than major shops. I managed to get a few bits that were missed from shopping and some Lego (two of the new Mario blind bags and the brickheadz Mandalorian and Child which are so cute).
I’ve had a doze and I’m now bundled watching Winterwatch from earlier. I might game or watch something but we’ll see,
Tomorrow I hope to fic more and start reading Light Of The Jedi (since, From A Certain Point Of View is pretty depressing). I’m not sure about the latest snowflake so I’ll give it some thought,
