Wakanda forever
Aug. 30th, 2020 12:53 pmSo as I’m sure everyone knows Chadwick Boseman, the guy who played a Black Panther, has died. Like everyone else I was shocked by it. I saw the news just before going to sleep, so when I first saw it I thought they meant that it was one of the older cast members, but no. It’s so sad. He did so much with the time he had and he’ll always be remembered. (Although I hope the strength that he shown isn’t used against others that don’t possess it)
I’ll have to watch Black Panther again at some point, probably next week.
2020 continues to be a mess.
There was a protest yesterday down in London and, while there certainly is a lot of things worthy of protest this was about the lockdown and massless idiots believing the virus is a conspiracy and just...I can’t comprehend the stupidity. Nor can I understand their logic protesting in the first place since the government seems set on (stupidly) reopening schools and ‘encouraging’ people back into work. (Don’t get me started on that idiocy)
It’s stunts like this that makes me glad I live in a village and so don’t have to deal with masses of people. I wouldn’t want to go into the town or cities not with those idiots, I just don’t understand why people’s lives don’t matter to these people.
Anyway.
Yesterday I watched Gerard’s Forbidden Planet interview and it was nice to hear him again talking about comics and such. He’s so sweet and soft spoken and I just wanna hug him. I feel sorry for him having to go through development hell for The Umbrella Academy film that never happened. (And also that the current ‘fans’ aren’t the sweet and artistic ones they used to be)
After that I watched Goldeneye cause it was on tv and it’s still a pretty solid film. I’ve actually enjoyed seeing the Bond films on Saturday nights so of course, next week there isn’t one. Bah. Tomorrow Never Dies is on another day though, but on one of the other itv channels (4 I think, and on a Wednesday which is annoying).
As I watched it I was on Animal Crossing, again hoping to get a golden stag but I didn’t even see one of the fuckers. Tonight is the last full proper night to get one till next year so...
I also watched the new Phineas and Ferb film which was fun and good to see everyone again, but I couldn’t help feeling that something was just... off about it and I’m not sure why. Once it was done I ended up getting tired so went up to zz.
Current mood is still a bit... grey. It’s annoying and I wish it would shoo.
Gonna snuggle, have noms and try and watch stuff or game tonight. (I might try and write but we’ll see)
