One day we shall know peace
Aug. 24th, 2020 03:06 pmSo this weekend has been a bit blah really. It started, as weekends often do, on Saturday. I started getting a headache, one which made my eyes ache and then by the end of the night my stock felt woozy. A few times I felt I was going to be sick, but I wasn’t thankfully. That feeling started to fade the next day so I’m glad about that.
I did manage to get a food delivery slot though, before all that happened, so that’s good. It’s gonna be coming tomorrow.
I’m not really a DC person but I did notice the event for it this weekend. They’re getting the ‘Snyder cut’ that people have been clamouring for (but that I don’t understand and am too afraid to ask). And there’s a new batman which I watched the trailer for and... new batman looks kinda hot. I’m curious about the flash films, even though I never much liked flashpoint in the tv series.
Sunday, though, was annoying for a different reason. Turns out a bunch of teenage mcr ‘fans’ had found my ex-friend’s twitter and was harassing them. I only knew this because it was on a tweet I’d replied to ages ago and a few comments were directed at me. Needless to say I was annoyed and ended up going on a block spree. I don’t know why these teens think it’s ok to harass people, but apparently openly shipping waycest is enough to warrant it (as well as death threats). I wish I’d reported some but I wasn’t up to it. (Though it turns out someone sent me one that I didn’t see and someone else had reported it so I’m glad for that.) And I’m glad my curious cat is not openly linked on my twitter anymore)
I just don’t understand why these teens think such behaviour is acceptable. It really is so disappointing to see all this and it makes me embarrassed to have been an MCR fan. It just... ugh, really grinds my gears.
I ended up spite writing a Waycest, even though I said I’d not write bandom anymore. I put it on ao3 on anon.
Thankfully things seem to have calmed down today, but honestly it just proves minors have no place in fandom.
Last night I ended up doing a few other things though. I finished Observation, which... it left more questions than it answered if I’m honest. Which I guess is a good thing, as a sci fi mystery it couldn’t answer everything and some things are good to be left to interpretation but also...
I started Stellar Firma too, which sounds fun so far. It’s strange that the voice of David 7, who is quite bumbling, is the same guy that plays Elias in Magnus Archives. I’d never have guessed if I didn’t recognise the name. So strange.
This morning we headed out to pick up my meds and pet food. Thankfully my meds were there, I was worried I’d gave to make another trip. Sainsburys was a bit hit and miss. Miss in terms that they didn’t have Attitude which I hoped to get (so I had to order it) but I did get some Mario blind bags. I got Blooper which is the one I really wanted so I’m happy about that. I got some Star Wars flipz too, though one packet was... empty. So I emailed the company to let them know. I don’t expect a reply but...
Tonight after NCIS I’m hoping to game some. I might start Spiritfarer or Pathfinder but that depends how I feel.
Now though I’m gonna snuggle and nap cause I’m achy.
