On the moon

As always the past few days have been uneventful. The food shop came yesterday and it was good to have it come, though it seems I missed some stuff.I should be heading to Home Bargains tomorrow to get them, but mum was still grumping over it a bit, which was annoying.

I’ve been reading the Night Vale novel in the afternoon and it’s very different to the previous ones. Only two chapters have been in Night Vale itself so far, but that’s because it’s more focussed on the faceless old woman’s life. This is done in short story form, first with her childhood and now I’m on a part where she is, essentially, a pirate. It’s interesting and different, and I’m gonna read some more in a bit.

For some reason I’ve done more Mario, which resulted in me doing Super Mario 1 and 2. I dunno what’s triggered it. Maybe it’s the coming Lego sets (which I’m debating getting the starter of, but the price is a lil off putting). Maybe it was watching the paper Mario thing last week (again, pondered ordering but I’ve not). I dunno. Yesterday there was an announcement of a new Lego set though and it’s... different.its a Lego NES, complete with controller and game cartridge, alone with a retro tv. Turn the crank on the tv and the Mario level on the tv moves! (It’s based on the very first level). It’s a bit of a strange thing really, but it’s pretty cool.

(I’m still hoping a Lego do Zelda sets, cause I’ll be all over those.)

I continued my The Umbrella Academy run yesterday with episode 4. Most of my comments along on it was how I felt sorry for them. Luther, for being alone and then the change to his body (which is kinda hot). Diego about the loss of his mother. Klaus being tortured, not that it worked, and the flashback to his past (but then gaining a measure of control of his powers). Vanya, latching onto the first person to show interest. (And I like how the Allison/Luther thing isn’t demonised or anything, I’m a little worried that it will be in season 2)

It’s sad that Patch dies, though it was predictable really, her going it alone without backup (and Klaus not letting her know there was a second person) meant it was inevitable. Five is a funny drunk and Diego and Luther searching for him was funny (and the Allison and Vanya time was nice).

I should be watching the next ep tonight, which includes Klaus’ adventure in the past which... we’ll I’ll get to my thoughts on that later.

I’ve done more on Beyond Blue and I finished the fourth dive (of apparently 8). I realised the other day that one of the voices was familiar so I looked it up and bam! It was Delenn from Babylon 5 which is so cool. It’s such a pretty game and I’m gonna try and do a dive or two a day till it’s finished.

After the dive I felt like watching something so finally started season 3 of the dragon price, watching 3 eps (a third) last night. It’s still fun and Ezran will make a good king. Plus! Elf husbands! Yay!

Although I did the little fic on Sunday the writing spark hasn’t returned. I’m thinking of switching to another season of kink prompt to see if that’ll work but I dunno.

Today the door guy was meant to come... but it’s been put back again, till Friday. Ugh.

There’s still no sign if Set It Off or Night Vale will be rescheduled which seems odd, because the US is pretty much a plague state and if theatres are still closed for the foreseeable future than shouldn’t that be true of venues too?

Now I’m gonna hunt for Pascal on AC and then read some more before my usual Wednesday night stuff.
