Into the unknown
Jul. 8th, 2020 05:26 pmSo we finally got a trailer for season 2 of The Umbrella Academy.
It seems, to an extent, to follow some of the plot lines of the Dallas comic (mainly causa the whole Kennedy assassination). Other than that, who knows? It definitely follows the roles mentioned in the article I’d posted yesterday (Luther being a boxer, Klaus and his cult) and it still seems that Ben is a ghost (though he opens the door to the car?). There’s still plenty of questions though. And seeing the goldfish was definitely a fun touch! (I wonder if it’s fate will be the same). I’m curious how it will go, but I hope that Lila turns out to be just a friend for Diego instead of a love interest.
I do hope though, that if there’s a season 3 (which I hope there will be), that it will go in a different direction. That is to say I don’t want every season to be ‘5 jumps to a future, sees an apocalypse and then has to stop it’.
Anyway, last night I ended up watching the second ep of season 1. Which was pretty great timing. It’s amusing that there’s a reference that Luther could be a boxer when he goes to the gym (foreshadowing or just a coincidence?). I love Diego so much and Klaus of course, especially in his scene with Ben and the one with Five.
I’d say more but my mind is kinda fuzzy.
I’d a little bit of gaming last night, but not much. It’s annoying how my will to do nightly gaming has just... gone. I managed to finish the Dragonhold storyline on ESO the past weekend but that’s about it really. Hopefully I can do more of something sometime.
Sleep last night was... restless and I dunno why really. Maybe it was cause I had two annoying people in my twitter DMs (I changed my settings to send a message to someone and the lil shits just pounced. I blocked and reported both). Today other than TUA trailer has been slow, though I read some of my book (I’m picturing one of the characters as Robert Sheehan now) and I sense I’ll actually finish it this week.
I did end up finally blocking someone else too when I got back from walking the pup. I’m tired of the backstabbing from them. It’s bittersweet, because I’d always hoped we’d work things out, but more and more they’ve shown how much they want the opposite. Oh well.
I’m gonna spend the night watching the usually Wednesday tv. It’s the last ep of season 1 of Roswell New Mexico tonight, but the second season is starting tomorrow which is surprisingly quick (it’s not long finished it’s run in America) and then I might watch more TUA and/or game or watch Batwoman, we’ll see.
Slight edit: It seems the government continue to be idiots. Not only are 3 of the pubs opened this weekend already closed again due to the virus (because people are idiots), Boris slapping care homes (despite the government not providing them the necessary help which I know from moms friend who works at one) but it seems the new budget, instead of introducing universal basic income (even temporarily) the focus seems to be on... getting the workforce back. There doesn’t seem to be anything about the vulnerable or the elderly or anyone else that needs or wants to keep isolating. Because of course, why would they be?
