The joys of anxiety
Mar. 16th, 2020 12:49 pmThis weekend hasn’t been too exciting. I’ve ficced a bit, working on something I started before I was sick, but my focus has been off so it’s been slow at points. I did do some of the Pokemon shield postgame stuff which I’d wanted to do before Animal Crossing came. And I watched some Clone wars though not as much as I hoped.
Best things of the weekend was stuff I watched.
Saturday night I watched A Quiet Place, I was gonna watch it on 4+1 but I got the timeline wrong so put it on Netflix. It was pretty good as a whole, but I couldn’t help but thinking how smart and stupid they were. Like... there are creatures that kill when you make a sound so you make everything as quiet as possible which is smart. And then you get pregnant which seems profoundly stupid. (You know cause babies are known not to be quiet)
Sunday night a new show started on BBC 2 called Trigonometry which promises to be about polyamory and so far, I’m enjoying it. I love one of the main characters, Gemma, she’s really awesome. And I’m curious to how it’s going to go. The whole series is on IPlayer but I’m gonna watch it weekly.
My head has been a mess though, my anxiety has been going crazy. It already was due to... well, March, but add on the pandemic, being unwell for that day last week and uni and...well. My brain cell has been ping ponging around my head this morning.
It took awhile to get sorted into the mindset to even try and do uni this morning, but I managed to do a question. So... I should have it done by Wednesday.
I might use mum’s bus ticket to see Sonic on Wednesday but it depends how I feel. I need to get a Mother’s Day card regardless.
I’m just glad it’s animal crossing week this week.
The virus has already caused one thing I was planning to do to get postponed (the Set it Off gig next month) so it remains to be seen if the other things (the AC meet, free comic book day, night vale) will be as well. We’ll see I guess. But yup just... ugh
I’m gonna snuggle, watch Clone Wars and try to write, then continue watching Who tonight.
