Oct. 11th, 2019 09:22 amThis week has been such an annoying one. I’m honestly ready for it to be all over.
So on Wednesday, the bank sorted out the money issue, so I was able to sort out a food shop... only there were two issues. First, all the Thursday delivery slots were gone so it had to come Friday. Second the coupons I used on the original order weren’t showing up so I had to chase them up. Also the offers had changed so I couldn’t just rebook the order.
(Though it didn’t help that mum was a nuisance that morning, despite knowing how stressed I was.)
Yesterday I went down to the Sainsbury’s store because it’s mums friend’s birthday and she wanted something for her. Even before I left the house there was an issue. The other week my pod thing was acting up, not showing the files or playing anything right. I wiped it and put the stuff back on, thinking I’d solved it but now the issue was worse. It didn’t even register there was anything in files ugh. So I had to make the trip musicless. Thankfully Argos had a cheap one (though it seems you can’t pick what to hear).
When I got down there the things mum wanted weren’t there so I had to improvise. Thankfully there was at least Star Wars stuff (a new card folder, though ugh the packs are a lot and tk had some other cards).
When I got back I tried to sort the coupon issue but that took ages, but at least I did it in the end.
The whole thing has stressed me out though and threw me off.
Playing astroneer yesterday with saur was fun though.
I’ve not watched any horror stuff, instead going on the new yooka Laylee and watching the Who special features. That continued last night which I’ll cover soon.
Today should be an easy day bar the food shop and I should be able to sync back up with kinktober today once it’s all sorted. The aforementioned friend of mum is coming tomorrow which is... she’s nice and all, just loud which is a little irritating. Still she’s bringing money for my birthday so...
Speaking of ugh, it’s just over a week away. Birthdays are always a bit... eh. They’ve never been the same after I lost my grandparents and then last year was eh after being screwed over. (My friend used to do me fic which was a major thing to look forward to, so her fucking off made it worse.) This year though, I am getting something. Some of the people in the discord are going to do me something and my love has sent me something so i’ll have those to look forward to. Still, I feel off about it.
Bah.
Once kinktober is over I’ll probably take a break ficwise. November is just so full of things, between the trip, new Star Wars stuff and Pokemon I’ll be too distracted. (Though I’m pondering downgrading my Pokemon order to just Shield, I love the statuette but money and I know I’ll just play shield anyway)

So last night I put on the bonus disc of Doctor Who season 18 and watched K-9 and company, the pilot for a potential spin off with K-9 and Sarah Jane. It’s an... interesting little curio. Sarah Jane is good as always and you can see how similar her character is to her appearance in the future Sarah Jane Adventures and I quite like Brendon since he’s a nerd. But...
Well to start off the titles are the most 80’s thing you can imagine. They’re so ridiculous. The story is also... odd. Instead of being about anything sci fi it’s instead about a cult of Hecate worshipers. It’s an odd choice and I can’t help but wonder what a full series would’ve been like. Despite good viewing figures it was nixed by one of the incoming bbc higher ups, which is a shame really.
I’m hoping to watch some of the other special features before Monday, when I’ll try and start season 23.
Anyway, now to do uni work and finish yesterday’s kinktober prompt.
