Aug. 19th, 2019 12:35 pmSo the weekend hasn’t been terribly exciting. I listened to a few Magnus Archives episodes (I’m now at 29) and I did a bit of gaming. I tried Slay the Spire on gamepass, which is quite addicting/irritating and I started Steamworld Quest which is already quite funny. I also went on ESO and finished the other Orsinium public dungeon (even though the last boss was a bitch).
In terms of watching stuff I didn’t do too much. I watched Muppets Most Wanted Saturday, which is pretty fun but not the best muppet film. I started Archer season 10 since it got added to Netflix Friday and it’s right up my alley, being set in space. I’m looking forward to watching more soon. On Saturday night I watched Miss Peregrines Home For Peculiar Children but for some reason I couldn’t fully get into it. I’m not sure why, but I know mum couldn’t either. I also watched something on Shudder, a short film called The Quiet Room. I wasn’t sure what to expect and it was nice to see queer focussed horror (although, ugh it lead to one of them dying but it’s horror so...).
Also on Saturday I went to the co-op and got a load of cheap stuff. I went cause mum hankered for sweet stuff but I ended up getting some donuts and some of the nice chilli cheese bread they do for under 50p! (And a cheese one too, which they rarely get.) Score!
Yesterday I meant to get back to Enterprise but didn’t (eh nazi episodes) and I watched Hocus Pocus though dozed at the end. I also ended up reading some of my Whoniverse book and read through the first chapter which included Silurians 💚 it makes me wonder if there are more of the ark ships out there (and could they have settled on another world?). I need Who with Silurians and humans working together damnit.
I also did an opening to a fic I might work on this week. I know I should finish my wips but... this idea has stuck (in fact two ideas have) and with the irksome behaviour in TUA fandom lately I’m gonna hold back on them. (Check out the kink meme chat post, it’s become a tire fire.)
Last night I did watch the Invader Zim film since Netflix added it and it was so great! I’ve not watched the series in years, but that didn’t matter because there was so much to love. GIR still being crazy! The tallest still being idiots! Zim and Dib’s rivalry! (Which, yeah I lowkey ship it now) and why is Dib’s dad suddenly attractive despite looking the same? But yeah it was mad and crazy and wonderful. I hope it leads to another film or series *fingers crossed* has anyone else seen it?
I went to bed last night after it and had a nice cuddle from Leia which was sweet. She doesn’t come for cuddles much but she does sometimes when I go to bed.
Today I was gonna read the Vader graphic novel but I didn’t. Maybe tomorrow morning. Mum did find a gir tee this morning so I’m wearing it now. I’m gonna try and read some more this afternoon, before the Xbox stream starts at 4. I’m also gonna watch The Green Death tonight, finishing the Who season 10 boxset. That means next week I’ll start season 18, which is the last fourth doctor season.
Also this week, we might be heading to Birmingham Friday depending on the weather (and money going in, since it’s a bank holiday next Monday). There’s no plan in mind for going, but I wanna go in tk maxx and the Disney store.
