Vital to the survival of the rebellion
Aug. 3rd, 2019 06:02 pmSo I’ve not made a post for a few days. This is mostly because I’ve not felt 100%. On Wednesday I woke up and my tummy felt funny. I’m not sure what caused it, if I picked up a big, if it’s due to the weather or due to stress (the latter is mum’s suggestion, I don’t think it is though). It seemed to ease up over the day, then went funny again during the night after eating. The same thing happened Thursday and then Friday my stomach seemed to have eased, thankfully.
Because of it, I ended up getting tired and having early nights (well early for me) which is annoying. Needless to say it’s messed with my usual nighttime plans of gaming (and a plan to watch Descendants 2).
Of course the whole thing wasn’t helped by a discussion out of nowhere Thursday night just as I was getting settled. It ended up triggering something that I thought was long buried and, coupled with the fact I wasn’t very well to begin with, set me off spiralling in a way I haven’t felt in a long time. My anxieties went into overdrive and I ended up essentially shutting down. I ended up laying there, in silence and darkness, for awhile until I was talked down.
Things are better now, sorted out over yesterday but... it was unexpected. I guess some things are never really over. (And maybe that’s part of why the writing collab failed because it touched on it, but I dunno.)
Eh.
So because of all that I’ve not done too much. I only read one chapter of my book, I’ve not done much writing (there goes my hope of finishing a fic this week) and I’ve not done much gaming either. (I’ve done a little on Elder Scrolls Online and I’m still waiting in the Stardew update, I’m gonna try and go on Fallout 76 tonight though.)
Today has been a bit better. I woke and had my comic delivery, so I’ve read two of them, Collapser and the Age Of Resistance special. I relate so hard with Liam in Collapser already, I want to hug him. And the Resistance special is perhaps my favourite of the specials.
I went in Home Bargains to pick up some cat food and they had a Forces Of Destiny Princess Leia! She’s a limited edition, made for comic con the other year, and I’d heard they’d had it but never seen it. She was was the only one there, so of course I nabbed her. She’s in her iconic white gown from A New Hope, with her leaning over R2 after recording her famous message. It looks so cool and I’m so glad I’ve got her. That means I’ve got all the forces of Destiny Leia’s. I’m just short of Sabine, Ahsoka and Luke (and the Rey and Kepylo two pack, but the entertainer often seems to have that so I must get it next time).
This afternoon was mostly lazy. I ended up curled up and napping through the afternoon which I felt I probably needed.
I’m wearing my new The Used tee that arrived last week, which is a pride one with a rainbow logo that love sent and it’s so pretty.
Tonight’s plan? Curl up and watch the Egyptian thing on at 9, then game a bit and Descendants 2 before zzzing.
