Warm and fuzzy
Jun. 1st, 2019 08:19 amAnother post so quick? I know shocking but there’s a few things I feel like rambling about so here we go.
First, the second care package from my love arrived yesterday. It was sent the previous week and tracking said it got to London and was in transit Monday... then nothing. I dunno where it was for the the next few days but the tracking didn’t get updated for ages. I suspect it took the scenic route from London. Anyway, the package contained a dark horse lanyard and badge, a funko Pikachu, some taffy and the Lola plushie! The Pikachu is so cute and I’m glad to finally get one (I think he looks the best of the moments pops so far). The Lola plushie is smaller than I expected, but I’ve not had a chance to cuddle them yet cause Naryu was on the prowl. And yay for taffy! I’ve not had it for ages and forgot how nice it is, ngh!

It got pointed out to me on the Kliego discord that my fic is the earliest one in the tv Diego/Klaus tag, so naturally I checked and holy fuck it was. Ironically the fic is called First and it has 399 kudos. What the hell? That’s insane!
I’m taking a little break from TUA fic though. I’m gonna do a few MCR ideas that have been rattling in my head (including one for Heather as thanks for being awesome and sweet, which should be up soon). I really want to finish the serial killer fic but I just can’t seem to get back to it. Hopefully soon. I’ll look back at it after the exam in a few weeks as well as doing some kink meme fills.
(Speaking of the exam I still have done no revision ugh. I’m gonna watch the last tutorials on it Monday since I missed them to see if they have pointers.)
On one of my rare checks on tumblr yesterday I saw someone mention anon-lovefest and damn, I miss that community. It was so awesome (I actually went on it a few months back during my Waycest kick). For those that don’t know what it was anon-lovefest was a comm back on lj. Every week there’d be a post (sometimes with a theme) and people could post anon prompts in the comments in hopes of them getting filled. It was mostly bandom and there were some awesome prompts and fills there. It’s a shame towards the end it kinda... trailed off and died. I wonder if something like that would gain any traction again? The Umbrella kink meme is doing pretty well so maybe it would? (Then again with tumblr nonsense about shipping and stuff it may end up being a tire fire.) Still, if someone set it up (or something like it) I’d be curious about joining up to it.
I’m glad anon-lovefest is still up on lj though. In a time when so many fics from there have been lost for various reasons (seriously, check any fic rec post that uses lj and you’ll see so many of them are lost forever) its good to see that there’s one place still standing.
I’ve hoped to get back to gaming a little, but the last few nights I’ve just ended up being so tired. Last night I fully intended to game... until I saw Green Room was on. It was a film I’d been curious about for awhile so I decided to watch it instead but it was a bit... eh. Ah well. It was a good concept but I guess it didn’t quite work for me, I dunno why.
Speaking of gaming E3 is coming up. There’s a Pokemon direct next week, so I expect the Nintendo presentation will be mostly focussed on something else. I’m hoping that something else is Animal Crossing and I hope it comes out before Halloween. (Also damn Ive neglected my switch so much.)
I listened to a bit of Frank’s new album yesterday. I liked Basement Eyes, but there’s something about his voice that makes it difficult for me to listen to for more than a few songs. That’s probably why I’ve not really listened to his other stuff too. I wish Ray would put out some more music. I loved his first album but I feel it got so overlooked.
I’m gonna start watching Good Omens today sometime. I’ve heard it’s pretty good and the trailers I’ve seen look fun. Other than that the plan for the day is to finish this fic and hopefully game more tonight.
I’m sure I was gonna say something else, but my brain has forgotten it completely. Ah well.
