Sweet rain

I’m so glad that I woke this morning and heard the sweet sound of rain. I’ve been so sick of this draining heat this past week. Sure it’s not yet the storm that was forecast but... maybe that will come later.

The past few days have been largely uneventful. The heat has been draining so I’ve slept more and I started the good place season 4 which I was hoping to finish this weekend but didn’t watch any last night. I ended up watching a stream that Maxx from set it off was doing cause it was spooky but dozed during five nights at Freddie’s.

As mentioned in a prior post I’ve watched Roswell New Mexico this week cause it started on ITV2 and I was curious. I remember watching Roswell when I was younger but know I never saw it all so I was curious when I heard it was being redone. It’s actually quite different from the original which is good, though it seems that the mysteries are being solved fairly quickly (its 5 episodes in of 13 and already some main things have been revealed). Still I’m enjoying it and love that there’s a gay couple in it now.

There was an animal crossing update announced the other day, which goes live next week. I thought there’d be one soon and this one includes swimming/diving, undersea creatures and mermaid furniture which I always loved. Once this post is done I’m gonna go on and do the bug off.

I’d hoped to read more this week and and I managed a few chapters of my book but ugh the heat drained me so much. I really want to finish black Spire so I can move onto other things like my growing book pile of doom (Now with the second alphabet squadron book even though I haven’t read the first). Next I think will be the night vale book then Resistance reborn.

I need to look into my next uni course next week and start my Umbrella Academy rewatch. Plus I need to Xbox game some more too. I’ve failed at that due to being so drained boo.

This weekend the plan is to watch Frozen (cause Frozen 2 is coming to Disney+ next week) and Spiderman Far From Home.

So yesterday I uploaded pics and started making a version of this post cause I’d not made a photo post in awhile but alas it messed up and got deleted so here’s attempt number two.

Nature and cute animals ahoy.

I had to hold Leia while mum was sorting the chicken for her. As you can see she was not impressed.

She’s a soft floof at heart though

Midna in her favourite spot the washing basket

The radishes from the garden, compared to one from shopping

The baby geese last week

I did pond dipping the other week and got a tadpole and smol fish

Naryu dozing after her hair cut

Now yesterday morning it seemed to go cool and I thought it’d be the promised rain, but a few minutes later it went really sunny so I took pics of the garden

This is the grow bag where the radishes were grown. To be honest I don’t actually know some of what’s growing there now but I’m glad it’s growing regardless.

Because it was cooler we put Padme out though after taking the pics I scooped her up and took her back inside

We have quite a few foxgloves by the veg patch

Though it’s pretty much all strawberries now

The makeshift pond I made, which the birds use. I know it’s meant to be buried but I don’t have the strength for digging

The greenhouse, which I think mostly has tomatoes now

The huge Christmas tree which was planted years ago (I think when my grandparents were still here)

So yesterday when we walked the pup I took my pad with me to get pics

The baby geese! They now look just like their parents

They came up to be fed so I gave them some bread but as I did so there was a sploosh! I didn’t see it but I think it was a fish, though it was enough to knock the bread bag in and spook the geese

This pic at first made me sad. We’d seen a duck with ducklings a few days ago but it seemed she lost some but...

A little further along and there she was with all of them! So that means there’s even more ducklings yay! It feels like there’s not been ducklings up close for awhile so it was so nice to see

There’s the cygnet with them. It was quite far from its parents so I’m not sure if they’re doing another nest or not. It seems to be growing slowly, especially in comparison with the geese (and since they only have one too)

Hope everyone has a nice weekend with lots of cool weather!

The rain still hasn't reached here. The weather forecast says a 74% chance of rain at midday but the sky is still blue. Where is that rain?! Though, it's a 98% chance later, surely it'll arrive then.

I've started to record Roswell Nex Mexico too, but haven't watched any yet. I'm glad you're enjoying it.

That's a fabulous set of photos. All your fuzzies look great, though Leia's expression in the first pic made me smile. Yeah, she's not impressed.

That garden is looking great, so lush and full of growing things.

And such pretty photos of the lake.
