Just sleep

Yesterday was uneventful really. I ended up sleeping early last night. Today was revision in the morning and I read some Black Spire in the afternoon before dozing. (I hope to read more tomorrow too)

I’m gonna spend the night watching stuff like Springwatch, which I hope has something nice like the the rock pool thing and there’s gonna be the new Magnum PI on Pick. The new Magnum looks hot. *smushes him, Diego and Torres from a NCIS together* (Which I can do with Torres at least since some odd reason it shares the universe with NCIS so...) [Did you know that Macguyver and Hawaii 5-0 is part of it too?]

It’s been raining more today which is nice too.

If you were introducing your favorite fandom to someone new, what one episode would you make them sit down and watch?

This is an interesting question, but it’s tricky. The thing is, a lot of my fav fandoms (at least currently) are basically one story spread over x amount of eps. As a result dropping someone in them other than the start would result in confusion. So with The Umbrella Academy and Picard, for example, I’d say that the best thing is to watch them from the start. Same with The Hollow too.

So I’m trying to think of a fandom that I can use that doesn’t fit that format. For some reason the one that comes to mind is The X-Files and the ep is Bad Blood. Mostly cause it’s a fairly fun episode, showing the same scenario from both Mulder and Scully’s (I love episodes that do that, albeit this is one where it’s not an accurate representation)

Ha, I try not to think too hard about the crossovers within those 'verses. Because I'm pretty sure Hawaii is not big enough to hold Magnum AND McGarrett...

Yeah I had no idea till I was watching Hawaii 5-0 and there was someone from NCIS LA and just... crazy times. But unfff Magnum is so hot I just saw the first ep and loved it!

I caught a bit of Magnum, but it didn't really hold my attention. Mind you, I lost patience with H50 by about season 4 (therefore any time I write those guys, it is always based on the early series characterisations)

Okay, so did you ever play micromachines when you were younger? There were two power-ups that I really wanted to have in real life. One was a grabber on the front of your car that you could use to grab other cars and fling them behind you, and the other was a little green forcefield that would make other cars bounce off you, and could be used to a turbo pop to shove everything in your vicinity away from you. I WANT THOSE THINGS IN MY LIFE

Aww Magnum caught my attention pretty much right away (it helped Magnum was only in a towel for one scene). Though it makes me wanna watch Hostel. Aww I’ve only seen a few earlier seasons of H50 and then random episodes.

Ha, I probably wouldn't bother. I mean, to be fair, I generally think gore horror is a weak genre of films anyway, but I thought Hostel was a particularly poor showing (yes, yes, you made it gory, we got the point. Were you planning on including anything other than "ewww" factor in your movie? At all? No? Okay then)

I wanted them on my car originally. Now I just want them on my person!

I’ve seen it before but not for a long time so the details are fuzzy other than guys getting tortured.

It really is! The X-Files has so many great eps but that’s one of my favs

OMG, Bad Blood! Yes! I really do love it when they tell a story from both sides, and you get to see the differences. I wouldn't have picked that episode at first, thinking about The X-Files, but it's a PERFECT now that you pointed it out!

I know SGA did a different viewpoint ep too one time (I think it was when the Doctor died?)

I do enjoy when tv shows cross like Magnum, H50 and Macguyver. It's always fun to see the characters interact.

Bad Blood is an excellent choice!
