We must adjust the truth

So last night I continued with my Who run with The Deadly Assassin.
The Deadly Assassin is the only old Who ep where the Doctor is without a companion and while it works without one there are moments (like when the doctor is in the tardis alone) where it shows why one is needed. Also because of that, it’s the first ep with no human characters in it at all (and everyone, bar a computer voice, is men, wtf?). I do like the Castellan and Engin was funny too. As was the introduction of the new master (though looking back it’s odd that he isn’t followed up on for four seasons). it gave us the first look at a Time Lord culture and it’s stuck around for ages (this was where the fancy outfits came from which look great).
All in all it was a pretty good episode.
I got too tired last night to watch the special features so I will tonight.
I spent the morning dozing a bit, so I didn’t listen to the magnus archives as planned. Hopefully tomorrow. I ended up going to grab a few things from home bargains, which was tiring due to the heat (and how we’re the bags heavier than the basket?). One of the things I got, though, was a pumpkin growing kit so hopefully I’ll have some luck with that.
I was gonna try and read but I was too tired. (I did read a chapter of black spire Friday though at last woo!). I also need to read the last doctor who magazine more. My new night vale novel came unexpectedly Sunday so I think I’ll read that when black spire is done.
Tonight I’m gonna watch Springwatch and the new bake off professionals. So cute animals and ridiculous cakes.
