So, thoughts on the new Doctor Who

Just a few brief thoughts before I resume ficcing

First off I loved the opening with cyberman head floating in space.

I’m not sure what the deal is with Brendon. It felt a bit strange to start with, like it was something from a whole other show. It wasn’t until he fell and got up unharmed that something was amiss. And then the last scene.... what does it mean? I have no idea.

I don’t understand why the doctor just left the tardis behind. I get her landing it away from the target, but why leave it there and not pick it up in the stolen shuttle?

I had a bad feeling about the cyberman ship even before they got on board but then the reveal of cybermen in stasis... it seemed odd that the lone cybermen made them scream, seeming to upgrade them. Why not just use them as they are? And there’s no way they got them all converted that fast.

I had a feeling the boundary would turn out to be Gallifrey and then bam! There it was! And then the master appeared, yay! I’m so glad he’s back. I wonder what it means

I’m sure there’s stuff I missed but that’s the jist I think. I want next week already!
