So a few days ago I did a post on tumblr lamenting the lack of new Waycest content. It’s true, there’s hardly anything new on ao3 and the tags on tumblr or Twitter are mostly filled with bitching about it. It gets annoying.

For some reason, last night people had stumbled on it and decided ‘person likes incest ship? Person bad’ and decided to reblog my post with comments and about exactly why I was a bad person and eww just for liking a ship.

Seriously, what the fuck is tumblr’s deal with this purity shit? It’s tiresome and annoying as fuck. This has just reminded me why I hate that stupid site.

Seriously whatever happened to stuff like ‘don't Like don’t read’ and ship and let ship. Concepts like that are not only foreign to these people they just don’t seem to care. The sense of entitlement that tumblr gives these people is insane. It honestly pisses me off that people act this way to each other.

This wasn’t as ranty or venting as I hoped but eh I’m too tired and just want to snuggle.

You're right, it should be don't like, don't read. But sadly some people seem to like sticking the boot in.

I'd just keep away from the site as much as possible. You shouldn't have to, but sometimes it's all you can do.

man, people who do that REALLY get on my nerves. constantly white-knighting with their holier-than-thou mindset about how “toxic” and “harmful” it is. like omfg i gaurantee theyre not even gonna see these fics, why the hell does it even matter?? people from tumblr have really gotten a mob mentality lately, the old “bully anyone who’s ‘weird’” mindset. blegh, leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I'm so sorry. Tumblr can be so toxic. Twitter too, I'm finding.
There are Good Gay Sexual Ships and Bad Everything else including, het, nonsexual (that's homophobia), incest (to be determined by the anti), age-gap/pedophilia (to be decided by the anti) and otherwise abusive/problematic (context decided by the anti).

I just blocked a blog that existed solely to shit on people for 1) being in fandom 2) being adults in fandom 3) writing fanfic 4) posting to AO3 because all fic is fetishising/incest/child porn, 5) writing for NaNoWriMo (because like fanfic it's just sad people with no lives writing porn), 7) asexuals (because homophobia) 8) hetero ppl because why not, they're shitting on everyone except pure lesbians.
There a ton of blogs and users like this who just want to troll, and a ton more blogs who trying to police people, going so far as to harass creators as happened to you, and attacking creators who have professional twitter etc.
It's distressing. I hope you can find some people who share your interests to give you fic recs.

Ewww they sound the worst. They’re so awful. Yeah in Feb I got harassed like this on twitter about Waycest, leading to threats, ugh.
