So I have just got back from Endgame. My thoughts are under the cut. DO NOT LOOK IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN IT!

I mean it.

It’s gonna be spoilery.

Good, then I’ll begin.

My thoughts are likely gonna be an unco-ordinated mess, but I just got back and it’s 4am so fuck it.

Obviously with a film like this there are gonna be things that are liked and things that are less so. First stuff I liked.

Thor getting his kill shot! He got his chance to decapitated Thanos are and he took it. Good for him. Even though it was all for nothing. I loved that we saw New Asgard, with Valkyrie and Korg. And, fuck it, I loved fat Thor. It’s a hot look, sue me.

I loved the scenes with Tony and Nebula. It was a touching relationship told in just a brief time.

The time heist was an utterly insane concept but I loved it. Getting to see Loki’s imprisonment and escape, cap’s ass. Cap on cap action. The whole Hulk and the ancient one scene. Cap commenting on his ass!

Thor getting to talk to his mom and stealing his hammer! Rocket being sneaky and jabbing Jane

Tony and Cap’s sneaky adventure.

The Morag heist going wrong because of Ndbula (inadvertently) and then Vormir :(. You know I thought it would go differently. That Clint was so desperate he’d kill Nat to get his family back. I’m glad I was wrong there.

The last fight was epic! Valkyrie! Shuri! Everyone! Peter getting a hug

Theend was awesome. Valkyrie being made Queen of New Asgard and Thor joining the guardians. (I too would like him and Star Lord to fight with knives. Or just naked. I expect more fic of there immediately)

The last scene... did that mean Ned got snapped too?

The death toll was small considering, which was good.

Things that I didn’t like

Captain Marvel was hardly in it and, while her appearances were awesome (and her reasoning was valid) it felt... I dunno. Plus she shoulda kissed Valkyrie

Cap doing what he did seemed telegraphed and I hopedit wasn’t truly. I hoped he would stay and raise goats with Bucky and I’m so sad he didn’t. (And him going back like that meant he couldn’t do anything, he had to stay hidden. That was an awful risk. He could have corrupted the timeline so easily

Thanks seemed so op in the last fight, which was weird because he should be easier to kill if anything

There was no post credits scene but there was random hammering wtf?

Not directly related but wtf is with those Lego sets for Endgame?

Unanswered questions

Why is the soul stone so specially protected? What does it do exactly?

Why did Thanos give Loki the sceptre since it had the mind stone in it? Was he really unaware?

Are the infinity stones destroyed now?

Is there a Loki running wild and free?

Where is Gamora, since she’s not with the Guardians?

I’m sure there was other things but it’s gone. Anyway, I’m gonna snuggle up now and tomorrow I doze and fic.

I'm here!

Finally going back to read the posts about Endgame.

I'm so torn about Steve going back like he did. On the one hand, yeah, he loved Peggy. But she had her own life, and like you said, he could have changed things so easily. Plus, he spent all that time fighting for this future, got things back and suddenly decided to do go back and spend his life in hiding. I just doesn't feel right.

But, the battle was epic. I'd watch that over and over again.

I’m torn too! I think he should have just stayed, made a life with Bucky, but instead he goes and hides... it seemed very wrong. :(

Yeah it was! Ahhh
