So yesterday my adventures with Heather came to an end. It was... I dunno. I gave her lots of hugs but it didn’t really hit me until later. I already miss her and her snuggles.

The night before we watched stuff. I ended up putting on The a Temple on Netflix after Mamma Mia and it was pretty good, though the ending was a little odd. Where did the pretty guy run off too?

Saying goodbye to Heather was hard, but so was lugging everything back. I had to keep stopping. It didn’t help that the train I came back on stopped at Birmingham instead of carrying on home so I had to change. Thankfully on the walk home I got the big bag around my neck which made it easier.

Mum was still here when I got home but she soon had to head to the library. Naryu was excited to see me and gave me licks and cuddles, I missed her so much. I got Fallen Order downloaded and basically snuggled and went on Pokemon. Yesterday I did two gyms at last. I loved Milo’s with all the Wooloo and Milo is adorable. My team is complete for now I think, at least till I get ponyta anyway.

All my books had came so I ordered some stuff for ingredients for the Galaxy’s Edge recipes. I want to try and finish reading Black Spire before resistance reborn, because ahhh. I’m also gonna try and read through no tags soon.

I watched Vienna Blood last night thinking it would be interesting but... I lost interest pretty quickly and I dunno why. After that I watched the first ep of The Mandalorian. Of course I knew what happened at the end thanks to twitter but the first episode plays out a lot like I thought the series would generally. It’s only that last few minutes, where we discover what the asset is that changes the whole thing and pushes it in a new direction. I might watch the second ep tonight, along with the new Resistance eps.

After that I decided to give Fallen Order a try. I worried the controller would be a bitch but it behaved while I played. I’m enjoying it so far, it looks so great, Cal is so pretty and BD-1 is adorable! I’m gonna go on it again tonight I think.

I didn’t play too long, so I watched a Space 1999 ep, alas the player didn’t have the ones from the other week so I’ve missed 5 but that’s ok. I only watched one ep before I got too tired.

Heather has got back safe which I’m glad for, though there was a deer incident on the way back eep. I had the new Night Vale on is morning but didn’t do much else, I’m taking it easy today.

The food shop has just come, which ugh. Annoyingly they somehow sent ginger instead of garlic which is odd especially since it’s not a sub. Ahsoka from the Entertainer did come too which is great cause I’ve been after her for ages,

Now I’m gonna snug up and maybe go on Pokemon soon.

Friday was a pretty easy day really. We picked up Pokemon Shield and I got a Star Wars bag from Disney which is, thankfully, just the right size for my Zelda bag. We had Pizza Hut again and had some boozy hot chocolate from the German Market which was nice. They put baileys in it so now I might have to get a bottle for Christmas.

We had a lazy day, I did some on Pokemon (though I got caught up in the wild area). So far it’s pretty good and I’ve got a varied team which is mostly new Pokemon. I might switch one of two out soon but I’ve not seen ones that catch my eye enough to do so yet. And the new ponyta is awhile away. I’m almost at the first gym which I probably should have done before now but... wild area.

We’ve watched a few films as well which have varied in quality. I watched Jigsaw at last, which was the best one of them I think. Cold Skin was interesting but felt a bit too drawn out in places. Worlds End was better than I remembered it being and Wounds had good ideas but didn’t focus enough on them. The new Flatliners was pretty good too. Diego Luna with long hair? Unf.

Yesterday was comic con. We got priority tickets so I was able to see the Anthony Daniels talk which was funny in places. Unfortunately I didn’t get his autograph though, with it being free with his book loads of people were there and just... no luck. It felt it was a bit poorly planned but... what can you do.

However getting the auto from Taylor Grey (Ezra from Rebels) was much easier. He’s so cute and he was so sweet. He took the time to talk with everyone and I didn’t have anything in mind today, so we talked a bit about the Mandalorian (which he thinks is great and peak Filoni), that Ezra is still alive out there somewhere and that Vanessa (Hera) is doing ok and is having surgery.

I used my money to a few things too. First was getting the bulbasaur funko at last and its so adorable I love it! It was my first time seeing it in person so I just had to. I got two black series figures too, Beckett from Solo and the new Rise Of Skywalker C-3PO. If I had more I’d have probably picked up Chopper too.

Last was the Rebels panel which was fun and entertaining, they had a Chopper on postage and They answered questions and talked about fav eps and what they’d like to see. And Taylor being adorable.

While figuring out what to eat at the station (I’ve ate in two of the new places there, a Lebanese place and somewhere called Giraffe yesterday) I caught sight of something I didn’t know was there. There’s a cat cafe at the station! So I filed that away and, when we got back to the hotel, I looked into it. Turns out they had a nice sounding menu and when I looked into it there was only two slots for this morning... so I booked one since it was free.

Cut to this morning and off we went and it was nice. The food was good (as was the mock tail I had) and all the kitties was so cute. There was one that looked like a baby Midna as well as one that played with my shoelaces. They were utterly adorable (and one came for Heather’s wedges, managing to nab one). The whole place was adorable and I put pics on insta.

The rest of the day was sorting Heather’s laundry and packing, which, it’s so sad really. It’s been such a nice time and feels like it’s gone far too quickly. I hope she can come back again soon. We’re watching some things now, Mamma Mia at the minute and snuggling. (I still think that fic I did for Kliego week based on it is the best I’ve ever done.)

Tomorrow’s plan is to take Heather to the airport and to get home, where I’ll snuggle the pup, sort food shop, get Fallen Order downloaded and watch tonight’s stuff on iplayer. The night is either gonna be Fallen Order or Space 1999 depending on how tired I feel.

Tuesday was a pretty lazy day which was nice. We snuggled and started watching Stranger Things since I’d never seen it before. More thoughts later though. Lazy days are nice cause we had snuggles and got to rest a bit.

Yesterday we went to Leeds to met with Vin. The trip was ok and the wi-fi on the train behaved. We got the new kerrang at the station which actually has quite a big piece on mcr. It’s the largest thing I think they’ve ever done for anyone and takes up most of the issue which is impressive.

Meeting Vin was nice, she’s super sweet and friendly and it was awesome to see her in person. She loved the stuff mum did for her little one too which was so sweet. We walked around the town a bit, finding a forbidden Planet and getting Collapser so yay! We had burgers and then cocktails which was nice. And she was kind enough to have her phone tether to my pad so I could finally hatch an egg on Pokemon go (though damnit, safari lost all my open tabs)

After Vin left we hung around a bit longer before heading back ourselves. It was a bit of a pain, with a last minute platform change (it changed just as it was coming in so it was crazy) plus the train was packed so that wasn’t fun. When we got back I pretty much snuggled and passed out after a bit, oops.

Before I did I tried to call mum but nope, she didn’t answer the phone even though she was there, sigh.

Today has been another lazy day so far. We watched the recent Jumanji film which was better than I expected and so funny. We also finished off season 1 of Stranger Things which gah, it’s so good. I need to watch the rest soon but I’m enjoying it so far.

Annoyingly my Pokemon game hasn’t turned up at Game in time for the midnight opening tonight. Which is a little irritating, but I’ll pick it up in the morning. They said they’d let me know if it came earlier though. Tonight we’re gonna head off to see Heather’s cousin’s band. Though Heather has a cold which makes me wanna hug her constantly. (And that’s why today was lazier)

No plans for tomorrow other than picking up Pokemon and getting something to eat but Saturday is comic con.

So I’ve been here since Saturday so I figure it’s time to make a post.

On Friday I found my pod thing (it was sneaky by the mcr coffins), packed my switch (after doing the Pokemon Tetris) and finished my no tags fic. Of course after waiting for months it’s the day before I leave that Stardew gets updated. Ugh. I did a few days on it, so I’m ready to go on the night market... sometime. I got to past level 100 in the mine though,

So I woke up at half 6 on Saturday which, for me is usually an ungodly hour. Of course as soon as I’m down with a bowl of crunchy nut corn flakes mum decides that’s the time to look over the notes I left her and ask questions. Seriously mum? Also I had to fend off Naryu trying to nom my food, so yeah, I had to go over a few things with her, but damnit I’d left her those notes days beforehand.

Going to the station was easy enough even though it was chilly and slightly icy. Though of course, as soon as I’m on the train I look down and see my Zelda bag strap is going again. Thank fuck I didn’t pack Black spire. I switched what I could around, but ugh. So annoying. The train was quiet and I listened to three cheers and read some of my little Star Wars book (the how not to get eaten by ewoks one) and Ihad to resist the urge of getting off at the main Birmingham stop like I usually do.

Wi-fi managed to behave so I could post no tags and all the fics went live yesterday. They are here check them out! I’ve only read the one for mine so far but hope to check out more. I bet mine is obvious, if anyone wants to guess.

Now mum said ‘don’t meet her at the airport, it’s too big you’ll get lost’ which turned out to be so wrong. Getting there was straightforward and, well, easy. I stopped at the smiths there and found last weeks kerrang with fob, so I got both copies (one for me so I have the posters and one for our friend who missed out). I sat down, not thinking Heather would be out yet, but when I checked discord she was and had managed to sneak up on me 🖤 and then off course as I get up the strap goes, ugh.

We managed to get to the hotel ok and talking turned out to be... easy. I was worried about that cause I’m usually shy, especially with new people (well she’s not new really but you know). We got to the hotel after having trouble finding the entrance and it’s pretty nice, though the Christmas tree is up so, ugh. They managed to check us in and the room is pretty nice, although the tv is awkward (is has free view but it clearly hasn’t been updated in awhile and it doesn’t want to show the horror channel for some reason, what?). I’d have been ok staying in the room, only going out to fetch supplies, but Heather felt up for a wander so that’s what we did.

I showed her around the main places, like the German market and forbidden planet and the bullring. It was pretty busy though and I’d forgotten it was actually Saturday (so had she though, she’s still working on the time difference and everything). Forbidden Planet has all the new Star Wars figures, even the C-3PO which just came out so I might get one (but also, maybe comic con will have them cheaper?). They didn’t have collapse though so I’ll have to get it online most likely. I hoped to get the new Star Wars bag from Disney to hold my Zelda bag but I couldn’t see it and it was too busy so...

Anyway, after wandering we got supplies from Tesco and Sainsburys and came back to the hotel. We just had nibbles really which was fine by by me. Heather had a little doze as we watched tv and then I did too for a bit, missing most of strictly but ah well.

Night time sleep didn’t seem to come easy to me I kept waking up. Weather it’s due to a strange bed or not sleeping alone I dunno. I listened to a few magnus archives just after Heather went zzz though.

So Sunday morning was spent snuggled and lazy for a bit which was fine by me. We did decide to go out and after being a bit indecisive (I’m so used to just going somewhere cheap and simple) we went to look at the places by the station. We ended up going in a Lebanese place and it was pretty nice. I had halloumi and some wraps, and there was some nice pickle things. We talked and it was, well, nice.

After that we went round the museum though I got a bit mixed up due to the market being there. We saw the Staffordshire hoard and all the ancient stuff so that was nice. After that we went in a few more places, including the other forbidden planet and new hmv (which is so big but has no funkos oddly) before heading to the hotel and watching stuff.

I thought the tv had a built in DVD player when I was looking through the settings (it had a disc option come up!) so I thought we could put one on after his dark materials but... nope. So we just watched random tv instead until Heather went tired.

Sleep last night was a little better? Though my head decided to be a bitch and I need to get more meltlets today. Also it’s 6am and I’m awake, wtf? Damnit body I hope it behaves soon.

Today we’ve gonna go to the sea life centre and see all the fish and otters and stuff, especially since I have a voucher thing for it and we have to do a supply run too. But other than? Not much till Wednesday and the trip to Leeds. (I’m gonna take my pad today and take a load of pics so expect them up later on insta or Twitter)

It still feels so surreal though. I keep looking at her and smiling and not quite belting and, you know, she’s actually here with me. I don’t think I’ll get used to that.

Anyway. I’m gonna go now and... I dunno.
