Ok so I ended up watching the rest of The Umbrella Academy tonight because I HAVE NO CONTROL OK?

So under the cut are spoilers for 8-10. (Also damnit I had to restyle this because dreamwidth was useless and didn’t save!)

First off, I need a season 2 like, right now. Get on it Netflix!

Overall I think they did pretty well with the series, weaving elements of both of Apocalypse Suite and Dallas into a cohesive thing as well as adding and altering things. I loved that we finally got clear evidence of Reginald’s otherworldly Origins, admittedly briefly.

I loved that the last ep ended with Hazy Shade Of Winter. (And can they announce season 2 already?)

Luther. He got laid! That was such a funny moment (as was Klaus’ reaction to it). And then he had to go and be a dick to Vanya. Yeah she almost killed Allison, but locking her up like that instead of trying to help her only made things worse (and hey, it destroyed the moon so maybe Reginald was on to something sending him there after all).

Diego. He fainted at the sight of a needle, that was hilarious! But I loved that he was a badass, that he was actually questioning Luther for tactical reasons not just because he was being dickish. And that he soared Cha Cha to honour Patch.

Allison. I loved that she got a bit of an episode to shine, that we saw her with her kid (although that led to her using his powers on her). Her confrontation with Vanya was heartbreaking, even though the end was what I should have expected. I loved that they had her use a pad like the one in the comics and she tried to talk Luther down (and get him to send her daughter a message).

Klaus was so awesome. I loved that the lady at the bowling alley asked if five if he could play referring to him and Diego as his two dads! And his new powers were awesome and unexpected.

Five. I loved how snarky he was throughout and that once he thought the apocalypse was dealt with her drank (and bashed Diego over the head). I wonder how the end of the series will effect the next one.

Ben! He got to interact with things, saving Diego (much to the disbelief of the others) and then coming through during the finale! That was such an amazing moment. I’m so glad the series featured him and how much he helped Klaus.

Vanya. I was unsure about the changes they made to her role before, but seeing it play out I think it worked really well. Once she realised that Leonard was manipulating her like he dad, she killed him (which was amazing) and then she went back how to beg forgiveness only to be locked up... which naturally triggered her powers and to go on a destructive spree. (Poor Pogo.) Her flashbacks were heartbreaking, showing how she was screwed over her whole life because she was actually the most powerful.

Her appearance as the white violin was also awesome, showing off just how strong she really was.

I’m glad that Hazel managed to get out with Agnes, after killing the Handler (let’s hope she stays dead!) I hope he’s somewhere nice! (Which is something I never expected to want)

(I’m sure there is more I could see but I’m still a bit ahh!)

All in all bring on the next one, like now! Please Netflix?
