Vecna though! See, I was kind of wondering about your theory as well. However, I guessed who he was in pretty much the first episode. Not by being clever, but because I saw Jamie Campbell Bower in the credits, and because I didn't "see" him in the episode, I assumed he must be the one under the monster makeup. Sometimes I wish my brain didn't do that. BUT it's still such a good reveal. He's so good at being creepy and manipulative. And it's not even entirely on him. The environment they're both in is so abusive and controlling, that made it that much easier for someone like him to take advantage of Eleven like that.
