Thanks for all the good vibes in the last post, I’ll get to replying to them later when I’m a bit more rested.

So before I get onto what happened today, yesterday had further nonsense.

Not long after I made the post I got a phone call, this time from the hospital, saying they wanted me to come in Monday. Naturally I was confused, because why would they want me in Monday when I’m coming today, but they had no idea about today’s appointment and didn’t seem to want to explain.

Naturally I panicked, because if they wanted me in the hospital Monday that meant the results weren’t good. I got myself worked up and had to fight to distract myself (mostly playing fortnite).

And then a few hours later there was a follow up call. Apparently I didn’t need to go Monday after all, that it was a duplicate referral from the doctor (and so would’ve been to remove the thing from my back which has already been removed). This was so frustrating but at least I didn’t have to go twice.

The rest of the day was mostly, draining because I was all stressed out and anxious and couldn’t avoid that despite trying. (And by trying I mean watching tv, playing Star Wars hunters, watching a phineas and ferb and listening to into the tardis, and mana gaming to read)

This morning I had the call, which went ok despite the worry and then we went off as soon as mum came from taking Naryu.

The day went off to a good start by us missing the train, arriving just as it left the station so we had to wait half an hour for one. Once we did get there there wasn’t too much there but I did get some finds. I got a planet Earth boxset and what turned out to be a Fundy youtooz plushie (!) from a charity shop and the doctor who magazine I missed at Tesco (which has Evil Of The Daleks by Frazer Hines and an eight doctor audio). Though alas Tesco was a bit eh and they didn’t have sfx (and had no blu ray/game section which felt odd)

Then we went to find the place which was a bit out the way. Mum caused trouble, complaining about the service and things being cancelled before to the receptionist which felt so embarrassing.

When I went to see the doctor she was nice and said my back was healing ok. However she was a bit confused why they made me come in. The thing on my back had been tested and they found some unusual cells which requires further testing to find out what they are. However there weren’t any results from those. So they wanted me to come 8n to let me know they didn’t know anything.

To her credit the doctor couldn’t understand why they wanted me to come in to tell me they didn’t know anything. Not only that but she tried to find out what was going on. (Not a promise of ‘I’ll look into it’ either she did it right then and there with her and her nurse assistant trying to get through and find out if there was any news.) alas it was to no avail, there’d been some sort of meeting about it yesterday but that was as much as she could find out. She was heading into the office tomorrow and she vowed that she would find out and let me know then. And I believe her because honestly she was just as confused (and frustrated) as I was.

Of course what didn’t help was the word that got mentioned, only once and only as a possibility but it was mentioned all the same. Hopefully my brain doesn’t decide to latch onto it.

So yeah I’m honestly none the wiser about what the thing on my back is than I was a week ago, so it feels like all the stress was for nothing. But still…

I’m gonna try and rest now and watch the Xbox presentation and flop but… ugh

Good lord. Yeah, you've earned stop flopping time. I'm impressed with your doctor though. At least someone on that team is dedicated to getting this mess straightened out!

Argh. How frustrating. But it does sound like your doctor is on the ball.

That is so frustrating to still not know for sure but I'm glad you have a medical professional in your corner getting you answers. Sending good thoughts.
