shadowhiveSo on Wednesday, when I went to pick up mum’s meds, I put money on the gas meter, £20, expecting it to last awhile. By this morning it had run out.
I don’t know how that’s happened, because usually that much, even at the coldest, would last well over a week but now? It pisses me off that we were pressured to change to a meter years ago, because it’s not better, it’s worse. (Especially since any support from the government doesn’t seem to help people on meters.) I hate how greedy companies are being, how they’ll screw over customers and workers instead of taking a temporary dent to their profits (it’s not just gas, it’s the Royal Mail, train companies and the government). Profits over people is spinster so fucking exploitative and I hate it so much.
Ugh.
Yesterday’s trip went ok. I used mums friend’s bus ticket to head to town and get the few last christmasy/party food and a few other things. I was finally able to get that avocado and halloumi bake thing from Asda (and since it didn’t ring up right the assistant put it through for £1 too!).
I’m a bit sad cause when I went in smiths I saw in the basket of toys a unicorn, which I was gonna get for Naryu, but it had no tag and they couldn’t find it on the system so wouldn’t sell it to me which is kinda sucky. I might have fought harder for it, but someone else was causing issues and there was already a line.
(As an aside since the post office is in there, does anyone in the uk want Christmas cards? I’ve only sent one but I’ve got a few stamps, though I might need addresses again)
Alas though going wiped me out more than I expected. After watching the Agatha Christie thing (which I really enjoyed, I need it get her books) and QI (which was hilarious) I was too wiped to do much. I put on Sneeg’s stream but zoned out after a bit.
Today I went to pick something up (and put some more money on the gas card ugh) and was surprised to see some of the roadworks had finished, so the main road is clear now. Which is good, cause it means it should be quieter and cars won’t turn onto the square, but there’s still the other road blocked off so it’s not fully done.
Plan for today? Maybe watch stuff (not sure what yet, most likely a film but I’ll probably put one I’ve seen before in case I get tired), I wanna go on the Splatoon 3 weekend event and I need to get back on Pokémon this weekend. I’m hoping to watch at least one thing with Chai this weekend though it depends on tiredness. And I wanna get fic done too. Tomorrow I wanna watch either a rings of power ep or, finally, start The Umbrella Academy season 3 which I still haven’t watched.
Next week I’m helping out with mum at the library Tuesday so I’ll take nightmare yearnings and the Who magazine to read (and print out the Technoblade decoration thing) and then it’s the big food shop delivery (cause mum got a card thing from the council so some has gone to that). Then I dunno?
I’m hoping to get gaming done this week, I wanna get back on Pokémon as I mentioned, check out the new adreamlight valley and destiny 2 stuff and I think fortnite might have it’s Christmas event thing soon too.
