shadowhiveThe weekend hasn’t been too exciting. I almost did song Saturday, but couldn’t decide on what to do for it and ended up being pretty tired.
I watched the wholesome games direct which was cute and had some adorable looking games. While the other showcase had sci fi horror as a main theme, this one had bears (bear and breakfast, lumbearjack and I know there was at least one more).
I did ended up watching a thing I noticed on BBC 2, well actually two things. There was two programmes of LGBT+ and pride music which was pretty good. It had a range of people, including some I’d not usually listen to and some I’d not heard in awhile but it was pretty good. They also had… things on the screen (I’m sure there’s a technical term) which had info about the artists which was interesting as most of it was stuff I didn’t know (like Barry Manilow, who is married to a his lifelong male partner which was cute).
Sunday was pretty lazy too and there was the Xbox showcase. To me there were two games that stood out to me, Minecraft Legends and Starfield. The former is obviously minecraft but seems to be a story and gives off zelda vibes. Starfield is the new game coming from Bethesda and is obviously space based. It looks amazing! You can make your own ship and there’s a 100 of systems with a 1000 planets. I’m definitely looking forward to playing it when it comes out next year.
There was also a trailer for a game called Ara, and I recognised the voiceover (Shohreh Aghdashloo) but I couldn’t think of her name (to be fair it is an unusually one) so in my tweet I said ‘I recognised that voice, it’s the lady from the expanse who was commodore paris in the last trek film’. Well today I saw that tweet got a like on it, from her! It was such a surprise, since I’d not used her name and it doesn’t seem she was liking many tweets about it. But that was pretty cool.
Yesterday morning was the appointment for the test at the opticians and I got there early, in part cause I knew there were roadworks on the way. I ended up reading a few chapters of my book while I waited so I was glad I took it. There was only one test, some light thing and they didn’t say if it showed anything. Later on the day I had a call from the doctor about the blood test they wanted so I’m booked in Monday.
I really hope the new glasses are ready soon and help I think knowing that there’s a change has made me realise that there’s an issue. I dunno if that makes any sense but… yeah.
I ended up watching Ranboo play The Quarry last night, which I hoped he’d play, but alas I zoned out a bit. I need to watch the vod back (cause I vaguely remember where I lost track) but I didn’t earlier like I was gonna.
Today’s been the food shop, which came really early. I wanted it to come early cause of the second Xbox showcase, but there wasn’t anything terribly new to it.
Mum’s been having issues with her knee and it seems to have gotten worse, to the point where I was sent out this afternoon (right as dinner was in the oven) to get some gel thing for it, hopefully it’ll bphelp but we’ll see.
The rest of tonight is unknown, with nothing really planned after Grimm. Quackity is meant to be doing a merch restock later but we’ll see (it was meant to happen last night but didn’t). I wonder if it’s just leftover stuff or a full restock. Hopefully the latter.
Tomorrow mum’s friend is coming, which means watching Obi-Wan will be late and I’ll be sent to town on her bus ticket. It’ll probably be a short trip, I don’t wanna go in many places but I do wanna go in Smiths (annoyingly the new Who special is out the following day but I wanna check if it’s put out early).
Next week is The Umbrella Academy which I didn’t realise. For season 2 I did a rewatch of season 1 but I don’t think I can manage a rewatch for this time. There’s also the new Elder Scrolls online update next week, so I hope my glasses come in time to finish the last one before then.
