shadowhiveYeah I failed at doing this Saturday cause I ended up dozing and being too cozy in the morning. Oops. So today’s song Saturday is late and...
It’s Good Charlotte. First is Lifestyles Of The Rich And The Famous which is the first song of theirs I remember (and probably the first most people heard from that era). I looked it up after rewatching the video and it’s 19 years old, which is very wtf!
So yeah this was the song of theirs that got me into them. My fav at the time was Billy because look at him, but me being me I also like the twins (and Paul is so underrated boo). This vid is pretty fun and funny, plus it has the boys in jail and then in suits, which is funny cause of Benji’s spikes.
I only recall seeing the band once (though it could be more) but that once became a sad memory because shortly after my grandad died so... that kinda eclipsed the memory. But anyway....
I decided to add Makeshift Love to this post as well primarily because I remembered Mikey has a role in the vid. It’s about a break up app and the band (and Mikey and a few others) are the people that delivery break up messages. Alas Mikey isn’t in it much, but there is another cute guy with glasses.
What’s funny to me about it is that right at the end there’s Awsten, Geoff and Otto from Waterparks. I never even knew they were in it till I rewatched. It’s funny too cause I’ve started writing a thing with Awsten and the Maddens and this just makes me wanna work on it more.

The weekend has been a pretty lazy one that’s kinda gone fast too. Yesterday I had mail, in the form of two books I got from the Forbidden Planet book sale recently. They’re both X-Files ones and Ill have to look at them probably but I just know the Krycek stuff will lead me to reading Krycek/Mulder (I have the ao3 tab open preemptively)
Other than that yesterday I watched Castle (finishing season 4) and doing Story Of Seasons (I got the biggest house upgrade and did the mushroom hunt). And then there was Macguyver.
In an attempt to get back to watching or playing scary stuff on Sundays I made a spooky group on my Xbox for potential games to play. I don’t play any though, instead watching a film on Shudder called Slaxx. It was a very ridiculous premise (which of course it is with killer jeans) but they gave it an unexpected emotional turn which felt a bit... odd. Still it was fun enough.
Today’s been a sleepy day mostly, though I made brownies which were pretty nice. I also did some more on Hades and finally encountered Thanatos! He’s hot! And I unlocked the rail which got me almost to the end for the first time, though Hades beat me boo.
I did some Valhalla too and finished the Oxford questline and, ugh Fulke is a bitch, though Sigurd also sounds like he’s going pretty crazy.

I never got into them as much as mcr or fob or panic but I do have a signed version of the chronicles of life and death somewhere 🤔 it was one of baby chai’s prize possessions.
Now I’m curious about that fic... hmmm
