Altering the deal
Jun. 22nd, 2022 08:15 pmIt has gone back to being really hot again which is really so annoying.
As mentioned in the last post yesterday I was at the library in the morning which was ok, I read some more of my book which was good.the main problem, though, was the system went down. The computer was slow as mum booted it up and she went to the office to check if they had issues too (the library is in the village hall so the office isn’t library related). As soon as she went out the door I had to take a call, with them saying the system was down and they didn’t know when it would be sorted. So everything had to be done by hand (until it came back, about 10 minutes before the end).
Going messed up with what I was going to do yesterday. My plan was to move things so there was a path for the washer, but it had gone too warm to do that.
Instead I started Fall Guys (which is fun, even though I’m not good at it, but I think the means are cute), Fortnite (a new update went live, including new challenges) and I ended up resting. Darth Vader has been added as a Fortnite boss but I haven’t faced him yet but apparently he’s really hard (and I’ll have to try, cause one of the missions needs a Star Wars weapon).
I was gonna try and watch something last night, but my head went a bit fuzzy and I doubted I’d have focus to do it. I did watch a little of Foolish’s stream before then, but it was shorter than usual (I’d hoped he’d show off the youtooz but alas) and some of the Who special features (so there’s only the big one on the disc to watch).
This morning mail came. There’s the stuff from Forbidden Planet (a comic and Star Wars magazine) as well as the new Doctor Who magazine. The latter has such a nice cover, with David Tennant and Catherine Tate together again (there hadn’t been a pic beforehand, so I really did squee!) and a lot of the the articles are to do with the episodes on the boxset, so I’ll watch as I go along.
We did walk further this morning cause mum felt up to it, so we saw the geese. They’re fully feathered now, looking just like mini versions of their parents which is strange as they were still fluffy when I last saw them.
There was the new Obi-Wan ep this morning, the last of the series. Other than two issues I thought it was great. The first is story related so I won’t say anything here, but the second is that a good chunk of it is really, really dark, so try and watch it at night if you plan too. It alas made me teary which is hard for a thing to do.
I was gonna try and watch The Umbrella Academy season 3 today but my focus isn’t there. So I dunno when I’ll start it.
Tomorrow I was gonna go and pick up meds, but that’s changed a bit now. The plan was we were gonna go to town to see Jurassic World this weekend, but the cinema times went up and… there’s no afternoon showing, just a night one. Mum seemed disappointed, so I looked to see if there were buses coming back but alas, no. We could have bused it there and walked back, but with mums knee acting up still it’s not worth it. So I checked the ones in the next town (even though the cinema costs more) and there’s still showings, with morning ones being cheaper (but not as cheap as at the local cinema) so it seems we’re going to that tomorrow instead. (Which is funny cause we said we’d not be going back there anytime soon and now we are.)
So instead I’m gonna pick the meds up Friday (mum has a meeting in the morning so mums friend can drop me off on the way, which’ll save walking.)
For now I dunno what I’m gonna do tonight. I’m feeling really tired, I think causa the heat, so I might rest a bit.
