Pride moth
Jun. 19th, 2022 12:22 pmAs expected Wednesday I ended up heading into town when mum’s friend came which was… annoying. For starters it was warm but there was other annoyances. I went into Smiths to see if they had the Lego minecraft magazine or had put out the new Who special early but alas they had neither (though I did get a high republic thing, mcr magazine special and the new SFX, as well as a cheap book). Mum wanted me to see if Asda had a dress she’d seen the other week but alas they didn’t. And then after I went in it the strap of my bag went. Thankfully I had a reusable bag I could put it in but still. Then I went to the bank for her and one of the things didn’t work and then Iceland, which’ll be the last time I go cause the ceo has since been an ass about the Rwanda plan.
When I got home there had been a phone call with my glasses ready… and mum had said I’d pick them up Monday. Which… no. I wanted them asap. So after calling and getting nowhere mum called back and I was able to pick them up but ugh it made me so tired. On the plus side I can already tell they’re better which is good.
Causa all that we watched Obi-Wanmlate and no spoilers but it was an awesome ep.
The heat from Wednesday continued the next few days which was… not good. I honestly dunno how anyone can stand heat. Thankfully it broke Friday night and it’s now completely changed to cool and wet it the change has made my head a bit fuzzy which is annoying.
Dead by daylight is doing an anniversary event which started Thursday but I’m not to great at it. You have to find an invite on the map and then either escape (as a survivor) or just last till the end (as a killer). But the invites are hard to find and the one time I did succeed in getting on it didn’t show it unlocked anything which… is apparently an issue for others. Hopefully it gets sorted, because the rewards, masquerade masks, are so pretty and cool.
Yesterday I was thinking of putting on Willow but because of the weather we didn’t take Naryu out til late and it messed the timing. Instead though I put on The Orville, which I’d never seen and was curious about. I watched the first two eps and I really did end up loving it. It’s obviously inspired by Star Trek so I’m curious how it’ll make it its own thing. It’s funny, but it’s not just a comedy, there’s actually been a few serious moments so far and it’s played them well. I definitely wanna see more.(plus the Orville itself is a pretty cool looking ship).
Yesterday was a thing called Lego con and I expected it to just be a one hour thing like last years, but it was over two hours. There were a few good reveals, I loved the new Galaxy Explorer ship which looks cool and the castle looks nice too. And the Mario character sets look cute. Star Wars was left until near the end and it showed off two big things, an AT-TE and the Justifier. The Justifier is the cooler of the two but there’s some odd things about it. First it’s a ship that was only in, like one or two eps of the bad batch so I’m wondering if it’ll come back (and of course getting Cad Bane is a plus). It has a tiny thing in it that seems too small to be scenery but there’s nothing in the description to say what it is. And it’s £30 more than the AT-TE despite being the same amount of parts and the other set having more figures. Even so I really want it, it looks so cool.
Also last night was pride MCC and I ended up watching Ranboo’s pov (it was between him and Foolish). His outfit wasn’t too crazy this time, a rainbow jacket, trousers and headband, but it was cute. The stream ended up pretty fun and I was amused that his two new teamates commented on how hot Foolish was. In the end it was Foolish’s team that won (he even got a few of the people in dodgebolt!) so that was pretty fun.
I was planning on watching Choose Or Die last night, but my head was too fuzzy to watch anything new so instead I had Foolish’s stream on and gamed a bit before getting tired and heading to bed.
Today the new Doctor Who boxset is on its way (at time of writing tracking still says the vagueness of arriving before 10pm) so I might start that this afternoon if it arrives before 5. Tonight there’s new stuff on itv and 4 so I might end up watching the thing on itv then player the stuff on 4.
I am annoyed an order for Forbidden Planet seems to being late so I might have to chase that up next week. And also now that I have my glasses I’m gonna look into next uni stuff and finish my book,
Tomorrow I have to head down to the doctor for the blood test the optician wanted, which is more an annoyance than anything and I’m hoping it stays dry. I also have to look at washing machines because our one has gone. We have one in the garage we might work… but it’s getting it through the house to the kitchen. It’s not just due to its size and weight, it’s also because of the house’s layout, with doors in odd places so it’s hard to get anything in. Ugh.
Anyway, gonna snug now and then sort food, I might do another post later,
