‘A Thousand welcomes!’
Jul. 15th, 2021 12:32 amSo first, I need to think on a sunshine challenge reply that’s not a roaring rampage of revenge.
Watching John Wick 3 Saturday was probably a bad choice, because I’d not seen the second one and it dealt with the fallout from it and ai was a bit ???. I did watch Fear Street on Sunday though and it makes me curious about how it’s going to end. But it’s annoying that there were two cute curly haired guys and both died.
While walking the pup and seeing the geese we saw that there was a lil duckling in the same pool! Just one, with its mum. I hope it’s gonna be ok. On the way back we saw in another pool a load of geese (about 10) which I assume we’re going somewhere and made a stopover there.
I’m so bad at planning and remembering dates. I thought Zelda was coming out next week (it’s this week) and Free comic book day was the end of August (it’s in the middle, right after my second jab) and just… ugh,
My fic brain has been blank recently but I did write something yesterday. Although food shop came and disrupted my flow and I’ve not got it back today, ugh. I have read some of Into The Darkness recently, though not any of the graphic novels like I intended.
I just did some sonic generations and I’m at one of the boss and just… no. It’s much too hard and annoying and ugh.
And on Tuesday I watched the next Who ep, Delta And The Bannermen so thoughts ahoy.
What I remembered about this ep beforehand was that it was set in Wales, which is obviously a plus, as well as one of the guest actors (which I’ll cover soon). But I’d completely forgotten how depressing it is. The end of part 2 was…. Ugh. It felt unnecessary. I guess it was to show how violent the Bannermen were but the ep opened on them committing genocide and killing everyone they came across (although not the Americans for reasons unknown).
Despite that, it was a pretty good ep.
But onto thoughts. The guest actor I mentioned was Ken Dodd and I’m curious if anyone outside of the Uk knows who he was. I always found him funny and went to a few shows as a kid, though they were always… so long. You got your money’s worth with a show of his, because they’d often last longer than gigs do.
There were a lot of funny people in it and you could tell people had a lot of fun making it and the 50s setting. Although, yeah, the green baby doesn’t exactly convince, though it is a pretty good idea, just not well executed. And Ray was sweet. She’s have probably made a nice companion.
Gonna watch some of the special features now before going to zz.
