May. 14th, 2021 08:18 pmI’m feeling a little better than I did. I’m still rattled in some ways but I’m trying not to be. We’ll see I guess.
As such Wednesday night was pretty bleh. I did watch an ep of Carmen Sandiego and, with it set in Egypt it caught my attention. There’s only a few eps left of the season which I hope to finish do I can start something else.
Yesterday we continued the Potter run with the prisoner of Azkaban, which was a decent enough distraction. Also yesterday was Taskmaster which was the best ep of the season so far and I definitely enjoyed it and laughed which was good.
There was meant to be an announcement of Lego marvel sets this week but it seems like it got delayed… though apparently not everyone got the message. One site put up pics and a store (apparently a Lego one!) already had them out on the shelves. Oops. The sets are based on the films and I’m glad they’re going back to some of the older ones. (Pics are here.) one set is from Iron Man, one from Black Panther but most are from the Infinity War films. The best one to me is the new version of the guardians ship and I expect I’ll be hunting it down. I’ve never had any of the big marvel sets, usually sticking to the £20 or under ones but I think I’ll make an exception,
I started Close To The Sun last night and it seems pretty interesting so far. It’s set in an alternate universe where Tesla was successful and he has a boat with scientists on. But of course, something has happened, though I’m not sure what just yes. It made me jump a few times already in the first two chapters.
This morning I finished the uni reading, so next week I’ll be doing the final assessment. I’ve not looked at it properly though I know there’s three questions to it. Hopefully it’ll be easy enough but we’ll see.
Today was the new Bad Batch ep, which was pretty good, if depressing in parts. What does Tarkin have against Saw’s group? He was fighting against the separatists, so why does he have it in for him so much? It would make sense later in the timeline where he’s openly fighting the empire but the the empire has only been around for a short time. It’s also chilling how Crosshair easily ordered the execution of civilians. On the other hand Wrecker is so sweet and it’s clear the Kaminoans are up to something (hopefully it doesn’t get them killed)
I read the next part of Thirteen Storeys and again it was pretty creepy. There’s not enough art based spooks I think.
I’ve ficced a little, but we’ll see if it gets anywhere.
Gonna watch Intergalactic soon and then tomorrow do the speurovisionsong Saturday, and watch something spooky.
