shadowhive: (Austin Grin)
So today’s song Saturday is Black Tide, That Fire.

I’m not sure where I first listened to Black Tide, but this song was featured on the last Guitar Hero hence why I picked it. It has scantily glad girls at the start, but the drummer is shirtless during the performance parts which is a plus. And the guys are all in suits at the end.

The main reason I chose them was because whenever I think of Awsten my brain autocorrects it to add Diaz. Austin Diaz is the band’s guitarist and I think you can guess who he is (hint curls).

The band have split up which is sad, but I know Austin has been doing stuff with other bands,

I did managed to actually do uni stuff on Thursday afternoon (I dunno why my brain has been so faily in the mornings). I managed to do two of the four questions, despite my laptop deciding to be annoying (both of them needed other websites to do them and the laptop was like nope).

I decided Thursday and Friday to go on Deliver Us The Moon again since it’s leaving game pass in a few days. I had a walkthrough open in case I needed it which I did. Some of the parts are obtuse, and then there’s been bits that are stealth and where you’re on timers and just... ugh. There was an achievement for doing one bit without taking damage and I was like, nope. No thanks. There was a cute one with rubber ducks though.

I managed to get to the end of the game last night which you’d think was a good thing but no. See when I say got to the end I don’t mean I finished it. The last puzzle of the game is just... ugh. You have to move a radar dish towards a tower and keep it in position for it to transmit. Sounds easy? Nope. You’re blacking out for a few seconds and every time you do it moves the aim so you have to keep correcting it. And oh, there’s a timer too. I spent over half an hour trying to do it and got so frustrated I just gave up (it’s not helped that the loading screen when you die is so long too). I even watched a video walkthrough in case I was doing something wrong but nope (I ended up watching it through to see what the ending is).

Another annoyance? The Pokemon series I was watching on amazon is no longer on prime is no longer on there for free so I have to switch to another series if I get back to watching. It’s so annoying. Speaking of Pokemon did anyone know there was a musical of it? I found out there was one last night. (Apparently it’s... bad though)

Yesterday Prince Philip died and, while it’s sad and I’m sorry for the family... it took over alll of the channels. BBC1 was coverage for the rest of the day, but the same coverage was also on BBC2 (and BBC4 was cancelled too). ITV and Five had coverage too but not as much and 4 had a little but was criticised for having little (wtf). I don’t get how they can stretch it out to a whole day and night like that, and why the bbc felt the need to dedicate all its channels to it.

I watched Falcon And The Winter Soldier (ep 3 cause I’m behind by one ep) and yep, we are not supposed to like new Cap. And yay Wakandans are back! And yeah I still support the flag smashers. Although really, did the blip really bring the world together that much like they say? And if that’s the case why did everyone coming back undo all that. Before this I kinda assumed that during the blip, bar the initially chaos caused by it, things were... well, business as usual.

The people that made Host (the awesome found footage film shot during lockdown) are working on a live action video game called Ghosts which is on Kickstarter and I instantly backed. I mean got a creature designer by a designer on twitter and the Jim Henson creature shop involved, and, after eyeing what they could do in lockdown with a film, I’m super interested to see what they do.

I dunno what we’re doing today. Probably watch more Castle and try to work more on fic.
