This post is probably gonna be a ramble mess, but we’ll see how it goes.
In general things have been, well, ok. Nothing exciting really. I’ve just been doing my uni reading in the mornings, then ended up napping instead of book reading in the afternoons then usual tv.
Today, though, I woke and my tummy was funny. Ugh. It’s eased a bit now, but I’m just gonna have soup instead of anything else. I hope it goes away completely soon.
Tomorrow we’re meant to be putting up the Christmas tree but it’ll depend on how I feel. If my tummy’s still funny then obviously I can’t strain and get stuff.
The rest of the post is gonna cover things that I’ve grouped in general things.
Gaming
I actually finished a game this week *gasp*, it was Yoku’s Island Express, which is so adorable and cute. I won the code awhile back and it’s so fun, though it had frustrating moments due to it’s unusual pinball nature. Once I finished it I ended up wanting to watch Moana again and so did that night.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 got updated this week with the Geonosis update and it’s so cool. I’ve not got the chance to play as Obi-Wan yet but the map feels appropriately epic. I hope further updates are of the same quality going forward.
Eso had an event starting last night... but it went wrong cause it relied on the dungeon finder, so I ended up giving up on it.
Guitar Hero tv goes offline tomorrow, which is sad because it was the soul of the game. I’ve tried to get some more achievements the last weeks but I’ve not got them all and never will, which is sad. I’ll go on it to get the last offline stuff soon, but then that’ll be it. Sad really.
I’ve done Pokemon let’s go a little more at last. I got to Lavender town last night, which I love the music for. I’m amazed I got a shiny Pokemon without even trying.
I need to do more on Assassins Creed Odyssey as well as going back on Final Fantasy, maybe after the weekend. I’m gonna do the Infectous Madness Of Doctor Dekker this weekend since I won a code.
I was gonna go the Smash tournament next week but, ugh, it’s on a Sunday and it’s bus replacement service which aren’t reliable.
Music
Sean Smith of The Blackout launched his podcast today and it made me feel all emo-y. (Well coupled with the recent MCR nostalgia.) I miss those guys, they were so awesome and fun. I don’t get how they never won best live band because their shows were always amazing and funny too.
They’re still the band I’ve seen the most, mostly by accident as they got added to sets and such. I still remember when I first saw them at Give It A Name at Manchester. They instantly struck me and I had to hunt their ep down, which is rare for me. After that I saw them at the kerrang tour, at Download, down at London with saur. They were always so friendly too when you met them.
Good times. The best times.
This year though? I’ve only been to one gig, Motionless In White back in January. Ugh. It’s sad. So many bands have broke up and now... I dunno. It sucks.
I’ll have to try and see someone next year. Hopefully Adam Lambert’s solo tour will be a decent price. Tokio Hotel’s tour is insane, almost £50! And the vip stuff is more. It’s crazy.
It’s also sad to see Moose say he’s not been in contact with ugh not surprising. It’s still sad though.
Fic
I finished my mcr fic a few days ago so that’s all posted here. I was just gonna keep it here, but I decided Wednesday to post it on ao3 which I’m nervous about even now. I posted it and my previous one there. I’m not gonna post everything there, but we’ll see.
I’m still currently working on the bandom holiday fic before I do anything else. I’m not gonna say much other than it’s going ok and I channeled some of my feelings into two paragraphs.
After that I’m gonna try and do the request fics. I’ll post them when I’m done with them instead of holding them. I dunno which I’ll do first, it depends on what comes or mind.
I also wanna do the following:
*Another Claudio fic
*A watersports Gerard fic, possibly if the pissbot of his is in the new Umbrella Academy
*A dom Ray fic
*the second (and proper) part of amputee Jay
I’ve still been rereading some old Waycest fics and such. It’s a shame so much has been deleted. And that bandom stuff has died off since the glory days back on lj. Ugh I miss those times.
I’m sure I’ve missed something I was gonna say but ah well.
