So I’m back from The Lego Movie 2, thoughts ahead.

The local cinema has no trailers still, which is pretty annoying. There were quite a few people there but I was the only one there alone (also the only one without kids).

Anyway, the film opened exactly where the first one ended and then there was some flash forwards. I did love the reference to not getting Marvel. Apocalypseburg is pretty awesome looking, though not much of the film is spent there, with the heroes quickly being taken by General Mayhem to the Systar system, setting the film up as a rescue mission.

Of course it turns out not to be like that, with two twists (about Queen Wateva and Rex Dangervest, the latter of which is a tad absurd). And there’s more human parts which I never liked in the first one. But in the end it was pretty good. I wish that Benny and Unikitty were in it more since they were my favourites from the first film. The songs were pretty good, but nothing as catchy as Everything Is Awesome (And was the remix done by glados?)

I wanted to wait until after the film before getting any of the sets. I like the look of Mayhem’s ship but it seems overpriced. I may just get the small set with Benny and his spacey friends. I hope they do a sparkly Aquaman and Bruce Willis figure. (Because yep, he did a voice! As did Noel Fielding)


After that I popped in Home Bargains and got a ‘funky veg kit’ which is basically all kinds of rainbow veg including purple carrots and striped tomatoes.

The no_tags prompts are up soon. I hope there’s something good.

Tonight I’m gonna try writing some more then finish Nightflyers off since there’s only about two eps left of it.

Edit: No tags went super fast, by the time I read them my first pick was gone but I did get one.

9: Coheed And Cambria


Coheed is, like Palaye, a fairly new fixation. I’d first heard of them years ago but didn’t check them out (I wish I had stayed to see them on the Kerrang tour they were on but I stupidly left early). It took last year for me to get interested in them. I was on twitter and saw there was an interview with Claudio and I became super interested in them.

On case you have not noticed, I love curls on boys (like Ray) and as you can see, Claudio’s curls are fucking epic. I fell in love and decided to give them a listen and they are amazing. I’ve been listening to them so many times while I do my morning uni reading. They’re so awesome and their latest album is great. I love Queen Of The Dark and Toys especially. And Peace Tao The Mountain

I’ve not watched their videos, which I really should because they did one where Batman and Superman kiss. (I’ve not seen yet but I’m linking for anyone that does.)

Like Gerard, Claudio also does graphic novels but I’ve not been able to find the damn things (it’s called a The Armory Wars and is tied in to Coheed’s albums).

Sadly, as is often the case for bands I like, there is absolutely no fic of them, at least not that I have found. If anyone knows of any, or would like to do any (especially for next month) I’d be eternally grateful for Claudio/anyone.
