That’s ok! I think the main thing for casual viewers is the rani coming back (which is funny cause almost every female character has been theorised as her in the past few years!) but she’s not as iconic or well known as, say The Master or Davros. (She only appeared in two eps of old Who and she’s an amoral scientist time lady)
Yeah when I saw it in the trailer (and the title) I assumed that it would be more of a fun time, but then when info came up it was clear it’d be more serious. I suspect it’s due to recent years. But yeah Rylan was so fun! And yeah how did he survive??
I think it would’ve made sense her reaction if she knew the doctor better, but her focus on getting back how and her being a nurse too, like I feel she should’ve been more horrified and not wanna be around him. It did remind me of the runaway bride when Donna said that the Doctor ‘needs someone to stop him’ sometimes.
