So after the post on Saturday I didn’t do too much, though I did watch two of the three films I mentioned about. Well it was more one and a bit. I started Hustlers but I wasn’t pulled into it so switched to something else (though the moves sure are impressive). I watched Countdown though and it was… ok. The concept was an interesting one, but the execution just wasn’t there sadly. (I also did a bit of Dead By Daylights event and I’m so glad I got The Trickster’s head second try cause he’s so pretty)

I didn’t feel up to watching Rings, so I went to bed. Ugh my sleep that night was so terrible and unsettled. Which probably was why I felt pretty rough most of Sunday. Food helped a bit and after watching The Mirror Crack’d (which was really good if only for the snark) I spent a bit under blankies with eyes closed.

While watching The Lost Symbol that night I saw there was a trailer for Star Trek Voyager on pick saying it was starting Monday. So I checked the tv guide and, indeed, it was episode 1 season 1 of Voyager starting today. So that’s gonna be the thing I’m gonna watch weeknights (it’s on at 7 every weeknight). (More thoughts on that later)

Also speaking of Trek there’s a new trailer for Picard and it looks so great, it looks like it might be the best season (I hope). Though it was so sad to hear the actress who played the Borg Queen last season has passed.

I was looking for my pod thing last night and when I couldn’t find it I decided to look for a replacement (after all it’s a bit run down and not working right). I wasn’t intending to get a replacement right away, but when I was on Amazon I saw that I had a 20% off thing I didn’t know about (and was up that night) so decided to use it to get one. It came this morning and it’s gonna take a bit of getting used to, but it’s got more space and it looks nice.

(Of course tonight while looking for the remote I found the older one, I’ll have to check if there’s music on it that’s not on the laptop and trade them over cause I’m sure there’s some obvious stuff there)

It sucks a bit that I’ve not been 100% these last days cause I was hoping to do the writing meme thing Ria did and I had hoped Snowflake would do top fives of last year (which it did Friday). Unfortunately my brain has forgotten what top 5 things I’d had in mind and were holding off in case of such a post. Sigh.

I watched the special features of The Romans last night and it was interesting how the making of felt… maybe 40% making of the actual episode with the rest being about actual Roman history and how it was portrayed, which I found interesting. There was also a bit about the episode’s writer and damn, he was so prolific. He did UFO, Thunderbirds, Stingray, as well as a bunch of other things In as aware of but not seen. It’s so impressive.

Today I had much better sleep, probably because the blanket is changed to the softer one. After putting music on the new pod thing (thanks Amazon student getting it here quick) I did uni reading and then went to town. Mum and her friend had money to pay in for a charity (Mcmillion, which is a cancer charity) so while they did that I was able to do my own thing a bit.

I had hoped to go into a store called Chase Games, which had board games as well as cards and stuff, but it had closed and was cleared out which was such a shame. I went in Game, hoping to get the dnd players handbook but they didn’t have it (I know I could probably easily find a digital one but I think a physical one would be more helpful). Surprisingly they did have some of the Star Wars Black Series that was in the sale (oddly Omega, despite being in the sale online was full price) so I got a few. Zorri from Rise Of Skywalker (despite not liking her all that much but she was cheap), Zero from The Mandalorian (cool looking droid) and Jar Jar Binks (he’s got a pretty cool shield). I also got the resistance two packs they’d had for awhile (Poe and BB-8, Yaeger and Bucket) which I’ll put with Kaz so he isn’t lonely. (I still need to finish watching Reistance). They had the bee house too and some of the other new Minecraft sets, which looked nice but I didn’t get one.

After going in The Works (I got a few discounted craft kits, including a ceramic painting one), Home Bargains (getting cat food and cheap thing), WH Smith’s (got SFX and a book for mum) and Poundland (got a notebook for dnd, and some hopefully silvery nail polish) I joined mum and her friend. We ended up going into Asda to use more (mum had gotten an Asda gift card from somewhere or other) which ended up weighing heavy and draining, though I got a cute Lego flower polybag,

Rest of the afternoon was under the blanket again, watching (more like listening) to the Xbox uk stream and then Junior Bake Off (is it just us or is it really hard this year?).

Then we watched Voyager and it’s so strange at the start seeing all those bridge crew that meet their doom within 5 seconds. And it’s so nice to see Deep Space 9 (and Quark and Morn of course). Half of the opening ep was tonight (they split double length eps on pic) so tomorrow will see the res of the ep (and the introduction of Kes and Neelix). The earlier seasons are mostly fuzzy to me, so it’ll be good to see them again over the coming weeks.

Rest of tonight will depend how tired I am after Silent Witness. I was hoping to game a little (either trying one of the games I won, some more The Quarry or Dead By Daylight) or watch You Might Be The Killer on shudder (or something else on there). Most likely it’ll just be one thing but we’ll see.

Tomorrow I wanna finish the uni chapter and start the assessment (ugh), check the pod things and hopefully read a story of nightmare yearnings (so at least I can say I read something this month). And then maybe do one of the things I don’t do tonight.

I still love Voyager so much. It has some shocking episodes, yes Threshold, I'm talking about you, but some of my all-time favourites too. Like The Chute and Year of Hell! I'm sure I've said it before but I should have a rewatch myself.
