Thankfully we are far enough inland that we’re not in a warning area for the storm. Even so though it has been very windy and the other night it was raining very heavily. I has made my headaches return (along with other things I’ll get to) so we were running low on meds (the last twice we went to town there weren’t any of the sort I take so I had to settle for neurogenic which was just one strip).
So today when mum said the cats need food I thought we could pop in to home bargains, hopefully getting their stuff and some of my meds. While they had meds, they didn’t have the cat stuff so I had to order the ones she found (which were very expensive and I’m not even sure it’s the right kind but she was in a bossy mood and wouldn’t take no for an answer). I didn’t get much else, just a check funk from game and some wax melts and a book from home bargains. But ugh it was so… people.
But now onto the other things that’s giving me a headache just to stress. First is a letter that came yesterday from the people that did my biopsy. I’ve got a dermatologist telephone appointment a week on Monday. The thing is the letter doesn’t say what it is. To me there’s two things it could be: it’s a standard check up to see if there’s any problems it’s the stitches/healing or it’s the results. I think I’d feel more reassured if I knew which it was for sure. I’m 75% sure it’s the former but since they’re not clear I can’t help but worry that it’s results, and all that could entail.
Then there’s the government and they’re being so frustrating (thankfully nowhere near as bad as stuff is in America and I feel so bad for anyone having to deal with that shit show). Labour are just so exhausting cause it seems they don’t stand for anything anymore. They want to tear up regulations to ‘get Britain building’ even if they’re environmental ones. They want to be ruthless going after the sick and disabled, as well as others on benefits, which makes them out to be cruel and callous. They torpedoed a vote on a bill that would put environmental promises into law. They don’t want disabled charities or people speaking on the assisted dying bill. And this is all the past few days. They seem so… souless, like there’s nothing they care about, not people, not the environment, just ‘growth’. It’s just so frustrating.
(Although again America is going so much worse so quickly and I genuinely don’t understand how people can be so awful, nor how people can plainly vote against their own interests when it was clear how terrible they’d be)
But onto other things.
I watched the Traitors finale and this season was so good! It was my first time watching and it just..l hooked me somehow and I don’t quite know why. I felt so bad for some of them this week. Freddie was completely screwed over poor guy, then shot himself in the foot with a lie. Francesca gained a seer power then got the best/worst one she could have picked. Then the last part… like damn. They got the traitors and just kept going because they didn’t know. But I’ll definitely watch next year (and maybe watch the other versions).
Cause I watched that I had to watch Good Ship Murder on player though I lost my focus (I blame mum having a long call). But I did see the channel 5 player has something called Beacon 23 which sounds interesting. Has anyone seen it.
Last night I watched more Stranger Things and it seems to confirm my theories that something is going down at the mall. Plus Billy is so unsettling acting ‘normal’ that creeped me out and not in a good way.
Today I went back on Echoes Of Wisdom at last. I ended up finishing the Faron Wetness region, and ahhh I love the cute lil deku so much. Though also a big no thanks to that boss. It was bad enough knowing it’d be a giant spider going in but that fight was just so frustrating. Thankfully I didn’t die though I did come close. I might go back on again soon. (I did have to use the controller I got from tk max to play the switch on the tv and for some reason there seems to be no way to turn the switch on with the control which seems like an oversight)
Tonight’s plan depends on my head. I’m hoping to watch a film (either Tarot or Spree) and maybe fic some though we’ll see how things pan out. Now though it’s snuggle time with midna while finishing the masked singer.
