In the dark dark
Jun. 30th, 2022 06:42 pmThe past few days haven’t been terribly exciting and can be, in some ways, defined by what I haven’t done. I’ve not read any of my book, watched the who ray special features or started The Umbrella Academy season 3. Oop.
Tuesday was annoying, because the food shop came at an odd time, not long after lunch and I think moving it all around wasn’t a good thing. My stomach acted up so I didn’t do too much, which was annoying.
I did watch a Nintendo presentation thing, which wasn’t terribly exciting. I think there’s only a few things that stood out to me, mostly Blanca (which looked cute) and Rabbids which looks fun (though I’ve not been on the first Mario and Rabbids in ages, oop). There was also an announcement of Portal coming to Switch, which I might get at some point (and if you’ve never played it, get it, it’s fun, clever and funny).
I also did some more Dead By Daylight. I didn’t get all of the stuff from the quests (I think some of them were a tad unrealistic) but I got all the masks and the first level of community stuff. The even could’ve done with being a bit longer, but ah well. I’m a bit burned out on it though so focus will shift back to Fortnite. And Fall Guys, which I got my first win on today!
Ranboo has been playing Sims 4 with some… questionable mods. Which is fun (he’s meant to do it tonight again, with Billzo who was there for last nights which was… something). I might go back on it at some point, but I do think it’s annoying just… how much dlc there is? And how insanely expensive it would be to get them all.
Last night ended up being unsettling. Leia had decided to go outside at some point, so before I went to bed I tried to call her in. I opened the door and heard meowing… and she was on the roof. It’s an unusual place for her to be, I’ve never known her up there, so I tried to coax her down (the roof on that part of the house is only above the kitchen so it’s not high). However it quickly became clear that the reason she was up there was because she was spooked.
I heard… something, in the bushes near the door. I didn’t see what it was, but the night was still so it wasn’t wind. It could have been a bird or something like a mouse, but I don’t think so. Those things wouldn’t have spooked Leia.
I retreated to the doorway (because I’ve seen horror films and know where this shit usually goes: and tries to call her in, but she ran off somewhere else. And then Naryu came down and decided to go out. I dunno if she scared the thing off, but I hoped she’d encourage Leia to come in. She didn’t and, after awhile I went out with a light (and steak knife) to coax Naryu in.
So Leia spent the night out which wasn’t ideal but when she wouldn’t come I was at a loss. She seems ok, but apparently hasn’t learned her lesson. Why? Because she’s outside right now in a damn storm. Hopefully she’s hunkered down in the greenhouse or something but…
Sigh.
Today the Star Wars Celebration tickets went live. I didn’t even join the queue to check, but apparently weekend tickets have already gone which is… so annoying. Hopefully they add more later but it is a bit disheartening. Why do these things always happen at the wrong time?
