Apr. 14th, 2022 07:23 pmSo yesterday I’d been in contact with Apple support via the messenger app which went… it seemed to be going ok then it seemed to have changed over to a different person midway through which seemed to stall things. They gave me a time slot for a phone call but… it never came. I’m not sure why. I know the phone has a blocker on it, but…
They gave me a number to call but at that point it was dinner time and I was just unwilling to call.
I wish I had, because when I was on call (for probably close to an hour) there was a possible fix, to restore to a back up before the update that logged me out… but there was only two back ups stored: one on Tuesday, the day after the update and one this morning at 5:13am. So if I had just called I might have got this sorted.
Ugh.
My only hope is that I have the Apple ID or email noted somewhere, possibly on the laptop (though I sense I might have it written down but fuck knows where). I’m gonna give it a few days then if not…. I’ll just have to start galaxy of heroes from scratch. Years of progress just… gone. I’m so pissed, especially since I’d unlocked pretty much everything apart from the hardest stuff.
Sigh.
Also this week is the uni assessment, which is the hardest one. In part it’s because of the current stress, but it’s also because I have retained nothing from the reading. Not only that but the format of this course makes it so hard to look things up and refresh things which just… I’m gonna give it tomorrow and then just submit whatever I have. Because honestly? I don’t care.
Today Naryu had her last vet check up and it seems she’s healing nicely. There’s some little bumps, but the vet says it’s because of the sutures and not to worry. They also said she can go further with her walks so we’re going to slowly walk her further. As long as the weather behaves.
The ‘second’ series of Battlestar Galactica started on horror channel last week. I say it it like that because technically it’s a separate thing (galactica 1980) and it’s… yeah it’s not great. Only two of the original cast returned and the show is so uneven. And ugh it’s set on Earth, with the colons hardly in it. (Thus far anyway)
I still need to catch up on Picard, I’m a few eps behind, but it’s true what someone on twitter said. ‘In an episode with the Borg queen and an ice agent, the ice agent is the more evil’
(And speaking of evil don’t get me started on our absolutely cruel and incompetent and corrupt government.)
I’ve been doing Lego Star Wars this past week and so far I’ve done the story mode on Episodes I-III. It’s fun so far though some of the choices take getting used to. For example, there’s not many levels in this game and most of them are vehicle/space battles or boss ones. Instead, some parts that would be levels are done on the planet maps (Ie rescuing Queen Amidala from battle droids in ep I) it’s a shame because they’d be fun levels. On the other hand, the planets themselves are so good and it’s fun to explore places that are lesser known ones. Like Utapau. I’m curious how other worlds will be (and if it will make me appreciate Episode IX).
I did start Disenchantment part 4 at last and it’s pretty good and funny, though I do wish they’d included a brief recap at the start. Hopefully I can finish it soon and go onto other things I need to watch.
MCC teams got announced yesterday and today, and I’m gonna watch Pink Parrots because Ranboo and Wilbur are on the same team. I’m pretty sure they won’t win, but just… them. I was hoping they’d be on a team together so I’m just. Ahhh! It was the last team announced too.
I’m glad too that new Taskmaster is tonight and then there’s a thing with Karl, Quackity and Foolish on some sort of game show thing. I expect flirting.
Some thoughtts on Sonic 2 now. Ok, I really should have posted thoughts on this right after I saw it, because it’s been a few days and all the stresses.
I will say I enjoyed it. It was funny, had a pretty good spooky moment and I loved Knuckles. (And aww Agent Stone is so obviously in love.) I also mentally squeed a few times, especially at the mid credits scene. I’m excite to see how what’ll happen in Sonic 3.
