Step back in time
Jun. 7th, 2020 08:23 pmLast night I didn’t sleep right away! I actually managed to watch some things, woo!
I watched the Baywatch film on Film4 and it was pretty good. It was fun and silly, but it was enjoyable. Plus it meant Zac Efron got topless and wet. After that I watched Maxx’s stream, then I caught up on a killing Eve and Batwoman from last week. It’s the last Killing Eve tonight and I’m not sure how it’ll go but I hope we get answers.
This morning I booted my laptop up, so it’s ready for tomorrow. Thankfully it didn’t need an update like it usually seems to. I started Magnus Archives season 4 which I’ll have on in the coming mornings.
After lunch I put on the Heffalump movie on Film4 causa Tigger’s movie last week but I forgot that it’s one of the weaker films even though the actual Heffalump is cute. I had a doze instead of watching something else Nd then, while Blood and Treasure was on, I sorted my Star Wars Black Series shelf. I dunno why but I got a sudden urge to sort it out, since last time a bunch of the figures fell over. Thankfully nothing like that happened this time (it ends up being a domino effect when it does).
Now I’m just watching tv and maybe watching the Palaye stream later.
Tomorrow is my exam thing and... I don’t feel ready but eh. At least I don’t have to go anywhere and we can use the books. I’m gonna do it in the morning and then rest.
pushkin666 is awesome for doing this yay Ray porn!
Lastly it’s the June something question for the day.
What is your favorite celebrity interaction from any fandom you've had?
My issue with celebrity interactions is that I get nervous and shy. This has been the case for most of them, where I can’t get my words out, so I’m not gonna use those. Well actually I’ll use one. I went to a Duncan James signing when he did solo stuff and he commented on my lip ring, asking if it hurt. It’s a small thing but I remember it.
The second was a few years ago. I went to a Star Trek convention in London. My friend got me a ticket (my ex) and it was around my birthday. So I had money and got three signatures. I got John De Lancie (Q), Kate Mulgrew (Janeway) and Nana Visitor (Kira). Nana was the most memorable, she was so sweet and when I said my friend got me ticket she said how nice it was. I got a picture took with her by the security guy... which I found out on my way home hadn’t actually been taken, which sucks.
The last one was at Star Wars Celebration in London a few years ago. It was my first time going to one and I was really excited, but I was also sad. I’d hoped to get an autograph of one of the big names there, especially Carrie Fisher (this wasn't long before she died) but alas the prices were eye watering and I just couldn’t afford them. I still had a fun time, I went to lots of talks which were really entertaining and fun and I got a few things. (perhaps the best talk was the Clone Wars one where I got to see some episodes before they came out, which was awesome. It was season 3 I think?) The only trouble with the whole thing was that it was REALLY hot and also I almost my pass on the second day so I couldn’t go on the Sunday (I asked for a replacement as a keepsake but never got one).
Anyway, I did manage to get two autographs from it. The first was from Jason Fry who writes some of the Star Wars books. He signed my incredible cross sections book and he was so nice. We talked about books and I told him how much I enjoyed his recent ones (and how much I loved the cross sections). The second was Daniel Logan, who plays young Boba Fett. He was my first Star Wars actor I’d met and I was nervous but he was so friendly and nice! I even got a picture with him, that I still use as my twitter pic. I saw him at a Fett panel later in the day and he was so good in it.
Actually I’m gonna add one more too to this. So in November I went to comic con here and I saw Taylor Grey who plays Ezra in Rebels. He was so nice and he was really taking his time to talk with every single person. We ended up talking about the Mandalorian and about Vanessa Marshall (Hera, who was meant to be there but she was in hospital). it was really nice how he took the time to make that connection with people.
Anyway that’s enough from me. I hope everyone has a nice night.
