Gallons of the stuff

shadowhiveSo as you may have noticed, I actually finished a fic Wednesday. Yay. It’s short and it took ages but it’s done. Hopefully that’ll spark something new but we’ll see.
I have considered doing kinktober and spreading it out over a longer period of time but we’ll see. The thing is I’m still kinda wary about doing more bandom fic, despite having started one (the one with Maxx a few weeks ago) and I know I’d wanna use Ray’s thighs for a prompt if I did kinktober. We’ll see though. It’s possible the creative spark won’t come back enough for that.
After making the post Wednesday my mood plummeted and I’m not wholly sure why. But as always with these things, my mind decided to play the usual things on a loop which... ugh. It meant Thursday was a pretty slow day, at least for the daytime part which was annoying.
I did manage to win a build a bear Eevee from eBay though. I’m pretty sure it does have sound (boo) but at least it has one of the outfits.
It’s New York comic con currently and, because of everything, it’s being held online. Which is good cause that means I can watch things. I’ve seen two panels, both about Star Wars books. Nothing much was revealed that was new, but they all sound pretty interesting. A big thing got announced from a panel I wasn’t watching though. I didn’t watch the Trek one (because Lower Decks was gonna he discussed and I’ve seen none) but a new series got announced, Star Trek prodigy. It’s gonna be CG animation, apparently kid focussed and it features the return of Janeway! Yay!
Part of the comic con scheduling was a film premier so I stayed up to watch that Thursday night. It was called Books Of Blood and apparently it’ll be on Hulu (though like the rest of comic con was on YouTube). It was an anthology film which I’m always interested in, even though some of the recent ones I’ve watched haven’t been the best.
The film had three stories (and a five minute intro opening) and they were of varying length and quality. The first one was, in my opinion, overly long (it had to be about half of the film’s total). It didn’t help that the protagonist wasn’t terribly interesting (and there was a reveal at the end of the film that made any sympathy I had for her vanish). The second one was much better and went in a few unexpected ways, even though it was a little puzzling at times with time jumps in it, but it was the best of the three. The third one was pretty spooky and it tied together the opening and other two stories, but it was pretty short. (The film’s ending was unrelated to that story and was more a conclusion to the first one, including the bit that made me unsympathetic to the protagonist).
Today was a bit of a lazish day. I had to get cat food while we walked the pup and it was so busy in there (and people were wearing masks wrong) so that whole thing made me antsy.
I thought about reading some of my book, which I’ve not done this week at all, but didn’t. I ended up just snuggled and doing the usual stuff. I did game in the night, going on ESO a bit as well as Squadrons (I’m still pretty useless at it though).
One good thing though, my amazon voucher came through, so I’m debating what to use it on. I’m considering two things: a Star Wars book that came out awhile back called Scum and Villiany or a Nendoroid of Link from Majora’s Mask, which comes with a bunch of masks and looks cute. I’m not sure yet, though I’ll try and decide before the money goes in next.
I’m debating watching the Hot Topic gig tomorrow that Mikey is presenting. There’s three bands I want to see (As It Is, Black Veil Brides and, surprisingly, Kill The Lights, Moose’s new band), but I’m not sure on the time difference and how long the whole thing is gonna be.
I’m also debating watching a film from Grimmfest, which is a uk horror thing that’s online. One of the films sounds interesting, The Deep Ones and from the synopsis, it’s definitely something I could use as a basis for the fic I have in mind about Ben. But I’m not sure cause it’s like £5 and I only have this weekend to decide.
Ugh I wish I was more decisive. Maybe I will be in the morning.
