Picard and other thoughts ahead
First off, before I get into Picard thoughts, today has been a day. Mostly because it’s been a depression sort of day. It started last night and just... kept going today. Who knows what the trigger actually was, or even if there was on but I’ve just been... so low. I’ve spent most of the day just under a blankie either the bed one or the sofa one.
I’m hoping tonight to watch Bliss, which I was gonna do last night but I got too drained and bleh, instead I ended up watching two of the Goes Wrong Show instead,
Today we took Naryu a walk, which I didn’t think we were doing. There’s a bug going round effecting dogs (which I think she had last week) so I assumed from what mum said yesterday that we were just keeping her in. Instead we took her a walk, but just around the village roads.
After lunch I decided to put on Picard. I really like Laris and I wish she was going with him as she seems like a good person to have around. (Although why Picard has former Tal Shiar agents living with him is a mystery?) I liked that he gave a reasoning why he didn’t immediately go to his old crew, even though it seems a bit faulty logic. Isn’t it better to have people that you know and trust on a mission?
(Of course I know the reasoning is so it’s not TNG 2.0 but...)
I liked too that it showed what happened with the Mars thing, although the mystery is still there as to why.
So it seems that the Romulans are reclaiming stuff in the Borg cube, although they don’t have control over all of it. It also seems that they have a wide variety of races working there, which seems odd due to the secretive nature of the Romulans. It could be that they’re wanting to use the expertise of others that have more knowledge but doesn’t that also mean it’s not as secretive as I assumed it would be?
Also it seems like Starfleet command has been infiltrated again. Which begs the question, if this secret organisation was around for ‘thousands of years’ why did it make no attempt against Data? I suspect there’s more to it there.
And damn, that Admiral swearing at Picard over his interview. Ouch.
Anyway, now I’m gonna just snuggle and have noms and.... I dunno.
