Challenge #9

So I’m gonna take this as being about headcanons more than anything, so here’s a few that come to mind.

Star Wars After the events of Episode IX a Finn and Poe get together, eventually getting married. I don’t see them settling down anyway so I see them travelling the stars. But I do see Poe wanting to get married on Yavin IV where he grew up.

Danger Days The Killjoys are only stunned at the end of Sing. They’re taken prisoner by Korse where they are interrogated and tortured (perhaps used for medical experiments or used as sex slaves, or both)

My Chemical Romance Gerard and Mikey have done something together. Be it fumbling as teenagers or while drunk, something has happened between them. The band as a whole definitely hooked up

My Chemical Romance/The Used Gerard and Bert dated, end of.

The Umbrella Academy (TV) After the end of season one Ben comes back alive due to timey wimeyness. By the end of the series Diego and Klaus have realised their natural chemistry and done something with it.

I’m sure I could probably think of other things, or more general things but.... that’ll do for now I think.

Three things happened yesterday fandom wise. First there was a smash bros stream, revealing the last fighter from the first pass. The reveal turned out to be Byleth and the stream has a section explaining what Fire Emblem was which felt a tad unnecessary. I had expected it to be a 3rd party person like the others were so it was odd for them to change it up. 6 more are coming in the second pass though.

Second thing was a stream of The Elder Scrolls Online, revealing that the new year’s content was gonna be centered in Skyrim (which we knew) featuring Lyris, vampires and Blackreach. It all looks pretty cool and there’s gonna be a collectors edition for the main story expansion, though this time there’s no book which is odd. I’m looking forward to it and it means that I need to get and go on Dragonhold soon.

Lastly, MCR posted another cryptic tweet. This time it features the Killjoys Trans am and some more weird symbols. It’s strange because with all the stuff so far, I was sure that this would be a kind of witchy album with all the symbols and sigils and such, so where does the trans am fit in? I dunno and I wish they’d be a bit clearers it it.

I didn’t do much last night. I did some Stardew, feeding a trash bear and starting the missing bundle and I watched an ep of Lucifer. The net decided to be odd a few times which was irritating so I ended up snuggling g early.

I did write some though and I hope to get that done today or tomorrow. (I need to get back to reading Black Spire soon too)

I think I'm about the only person who feels this way but I fucking LOVE the cryptic MCR tweets. It delights me so much that they're basically playing us like fiddles, and it's working. Also, trying to interpret them is a most splendid exercise in anticipation and I love anticipation.

...it is possible that my relationship with the world is a little screwy :D

I concur on the Killjoys headcanon, incidentally, that they weren't dead. Mostly because if you kill them you make them martyrs and martyrs are powerful, but if you can reshape them, break them and bend them to your will, you can do almost immeasureable damage to their cause. And I always felt like Korse came across in the videos as that kind of vindictive arsehole who wouldn't be so kind as to let them go out in a blaze of glory. It's crueler to destroy the myth as well as the man. So yeah, in short, they weren't dead.

Also, I should probably never be allowed to be in charge of the world. Because I think I might end up being one of the bad guys...

Urgh, can't you just see it? Korse warps them all into shadows of themselves, and then sets them out to do things they can never put right, making them zone nightmares rather than heroes. And then, and then they claw themselves back, somehow, and they put the broken pieces of themselves back together as best they can, but the things that they did while they were his, they can never take back. And even though everyone knows, even through they know that it wasn't their faults, who they were before is still just a shattered dust memory because some atrocities can never be forgotten. Or forgiven.
