Hello there
Aug. 24th, 2019 04:57 pmI’ve ended up being pretty annoyed at Shudder this week. I was considering cancelling, at least temporarily, but I found out the money for the year came out a few days ago (ugh). It was meant to come out next month but nope. That was irritating and I guess I’m stuck with it for a year. I need to watch it more, but my issue is I’ve had no focus’s to watch subtitles.
Ah well.
Thursday night I started Devil May Cry, playing through the prologue and first chapter so far. It’s pretty good so far, though obviously is set up. V is so pretty though and I’m not surprised him and Nero get shipped (I guess I’m gonna fall down a hole with them cause they’re all related somehow? Which is my thing)
Other gaming, I’m on act 2 of steamworld quest and I did the Tetris event yesterday, yay!
So before I went to sleep Thursday, I checked the money and it was in. Cause of it being bank holiday on Monday the money was due to go in early, but obviously I wanted to be sure before we went. So I left mum a note confirming it was and went up to bed.
That meant on Friday off we went to Birmingham. I wasn’t going for anything specific, though we had some stuff to pick up from whittard’s and there were some things discounted in places. The first destination, as always, was the Forbidden Planet by the station. I didn’t get anything from there this time, but this did have the convention exclusive with trooper which was a surprise. It was £70 though which... ouch. They also had Pokemon construx which I’ve never seen but the prices were horrendous! The scyther was over £40 (and I just checked and amazon us has it for $13!). After that I went in tk maxx, hoping to get figures but alas they had nothing.
Next stop was the bullring. I got some tsum tsums from Clinton’s then went into HMV. I wasn’t expecting to get anything but I got the Caretaker funko and Rebels season 4 blu ray, which I didn’t have and was a decent price. Next was the entertainer. While they didn’t have any of the black series 6 inch figures I hoped for, they did have some of the titanium ships from Rogue One, so I got the Death Star, Cargo shuttle and Krennic’s shuttle, as well as forces of Destiny Kylo and Rey and force link moloch and Snoke.
Rest of the day was wandering round other places, including Disney (mum got me the shoulder porg for my birthday and a Nightmare Before Christmas Sally dress for herself) and the other forbidden planet though I got nothing there. (We did get the galaxy delights thing from B and M which I’m curious about trying, you can make galaxy flavoured ice cream, milkshake and moose and there’s enough to do them all). We had noms at McDonald’s but after that we were both getting pretty tired. We picked up the whittard’s stuff and got some donuts before getting on the next train home.
Rest of the night was snuggled and nomming donuts while watching tv, though since Naryu peed mum’s bed while we were out I offered to stay downstairs while mum took my bed, though it took awhile for me to rest.
Before I did sleep though I stayed up for the news from the Disney conference. Last night was about Disney +, the new streaming service. While there is no info yet on if it’ll be available outside the us (it better be!) the presentation covered what would be on it. While there was stuff I wasn’t bothered about there’s some stuff I’m excited for. The new Phineas and Ferb movie, the Jeff Goldblum show and the marvel shows (theee new ones got announced and I’m mostly curious about Moon Knight).
However I was most looking forward to the Star Wars part of it, which was last. Mostly it was the show’s we knew were coming. CloneWats got a date (Feb), The Mandalorian got a trailer (which seems to be mostly the one from celebration that was only for attendees) and the Cassian series is gonna start filming next year. However it ended on one final announcement: Obi-Wan is back, getting his own series which is ready to be filmed next year and has Ewan back! That’s awesome! Though I will admit, I’m not exactly sure what the show will actually be. (And Id have liked a solo follow up) but still!
Today’s been a lazy day, recovering from all the travelling and carrying things of yesterday. We have the food shop coming tonight too, taking advantage of the extra discount but it’s annoying cause it’s coming late. Ah well. After it we’re watching the Álex Cross film which I got from Poundland.
Plan for the next week, until the end of the month, is the following
*Finish the second story of pirate’s price
*Start Doctor Who season 19 (after finishing the special feature disc of season 10)
*Do more Devil May Cry 5
*Watch the Blair Witch film (I only have the recent one) before the game comes to game pass next week
*Try and fic some more, hopefully to finish something
*Start the new shows, Instinct, Bake Off
*Watch more Archer on Netflix
*Go on Steamworld quest some more

Date: 2019-08-25 06:00 pm (UTC)Yeah, I’m looking forward to it too, I’m curious about Hawkeye but that seems like a long way off. Yeah! And there hasn’t been confirmation if it’s gonna be available here either yet
Oh yes, of course! I have to be careful though cause I usually have to +1 it (causa the Flash) But Yee!
