‘I am not another one of your adventures’
The last few days have continued to be very low energy. It’s so annoying cause it’s meant I’ve not done things that I wanted to do cause my focus has been so off (namely, watch stuff, fic and game).
I did start a game on game pass the other night, a puzzle game called Blue Prince, but damn. It is very much a luck based game. The goal is to get to a certain room in a house and every door you pass through lets you ‘draft’ a room from a selection of three random ones. Each room is different from bedrooms, to corridors, even a pool and, if you have bad luck, all your options are dead ends. I thought I did well last night with it, I got to the room but couldn’t get in…. Because you need to find certain rooms to open the doors of the room. That seems like an infuriating decision especially when you’ve no choice over the rooms you get.
Yesterday I was waiting for a package that meant to come between 7;34-11:34 but did it arrive at those times? Nope. In fact it didn’t arrive at all which is so annoying but feels… typical.
While waiting I did end up reading (and finishing) The Mystery Of Three Quarters. I ended up reading the last 15 chapters over the course of the afternoon. It was pretty good. I ended up really sympathising with Annabel and wanted to give her a hug (and her pupper too).
Next I might get back to Flight Of Icarus (I only read three quarters next cause it was a library book mum bought back) then do this months read Christie book.
Yesterday’s main thing was that Doctor Who is back! So thoughts on The Robot Revolution under the cut.
A new season has meant a new companion and so far I like Belinda. She’s smart and all she wants is to get back home, though of course it’s not that simple.
I really liked the visuals of Missbelindachamdra1 (though it is a mouthful of a planet name), I love the look ofthe rocket, the robots looked cool and I love the lil polish polish robot. He’s just a lil guy. (And I did like the weird psychedelic visuals when the star certificates touched)
The ep did feel a tad over reliant on that temporal barrier being the answer for everything (though it’s always good to see the doctor say timey wimey). It makes me wonder if that barrier is gonna be something that comes up later in the series (and is subsequently explained then).
Even if that barrier doesn’t show up again there’s a few other mysteries. Of course there’s Mrs Flood’s whole realm then there’s how the Doctor knew about Belinda (and who told him about her and why) and there’s the big ‘what’s keeping them from going back to earth’. I’m wondering if it’s less Belinda being kept from going back and more the doctor is being kept from going back (which is why whoever told him about Belinda did that, to keep him away while whatever happens happens.
But overall it’s a pretty good ep.
The next ep does look really cool and I’m definitely excited for that one.
After Who I ended up watching a few things and being on Fortnite then I dozed off downstairs. However when I went up I was restless and just couldn’t settle which …. Ugh.
And then today the first of the new payments was meant to go in but it’s not. And now I’m just stressing over that.is it late cause it’s the first payment? Cause it’s Sunday? Or has been some mistake, either on their end or did I make a mistake in my bank details? It’s so stressful and I’m trying to put it out of my mind (cause I can’t do anything) but I have sent a message to them. Hopefully a reply comes back. (Or better yet it’s resolved before then.)
