I've got a friend who specialises in trouble

Today has been a bit of an all over the place type day. It took awhile to even get started this morning.

First of all there was an announcement of the new Who Ray boxset, season 9 (cue everyone trying to be shocked despite it being leaked days ago and pictures being leaked late last night)

I’d usually just link to the trailer but I’m gonna embed it just cause. It’s a sweet little thing and was so full of feels. Jo having Sarah Jane’s sonic lipstick, the little sea devil, the last minute. So many feels.

I’m definitely looking forward to it, even though my memories of most of the eps are so vague (The Sea Devils being the main one I recall and wanna see). It also means Jo and the Delgado Master will be the latest characters to have all their eps done. (And the new special features look fun too and yay behind the sofa are on sofas again!)

I had a random person message about fall guys so I have a new person if ever there’s a party event, it’s a shame we both missed out on the rainbow cape though, boo.

After noms and watching Winterwatch I was hot with a wave of tiredness to the point where I almost went up early but I didn’t (it was also annoying as there was some random sad too but it’s faded now).

I did get another dm, this time with some random Xbox game codes that I won. I’m not familiar with any of the games, so I’ll check them out sometime soon. IIN looks like the most interesting, being a puzzle type game.

After a little debating I decided to continue the Who ray watch as planned with The Romans. The opening feels pretty strange, since they’ve spent a whole month in Italy… and the Tardis is just left where it landed. (Which seems risky, what if rocks had fell on it? Or if it had been stolen or damaged?)

You have to admire the ambition with what they were trying to do, especially as it felt like every part had somewhere different in it (though the effect for Rome burning wasn’t the best). But I think it was a bit.. eh overall. Nero was a bit over the top, but also an ass. Most of the characters weren’t likeable (other than the poisoner and Tacitus, and the two poor slaves). I did like how they almost, but not quite, ran into each other and it was nice everyone had something to do.

Next is The Web Planet which I’m kinda looking forward to but the length. Also gonna try and watch the special features fog the romans tomorrow.

And now I’m gonna try and zz and then ponder some.

I'm sad I missed the rainbow cape in Fall Guys too but I just have no idea when I'd have been able to put the time in to get it :(

I've been watching Winterwatch this week and it's been a nice relaxing watch. All the geese flying together were amazing.

Jo!!

The Sea Devils is a good one, I've always thought, and I have a great fondness for The Time Monster. The Master is awesome in it.

The Romans is such a strange mix of comedy and drama. It has some really great scenes but it never really comes together, I feel.
