I call it ‘the creature’
Last night I was able to continue my Doctor Who run with The Creature From The Pit.
It’s an ep that I can’t say I remembered, even though I’ve seen it before at some point. As a story it’s… ok. The characters aren’t to memorable (other than the literal minded Lady Astra) and it feels like it was a little long despite being only 4 episodes long (most of the last episode deals with a wholly new problem). The main thing that is memorable about the episode is the titular creature. Which is to be to be believed.
You see the creature isn’t something that you’d expect. It’s not a monster with teeth and claws, it’s more of a blob…. And actually it’s pretty friendly. The thing is… well. It’s not just a blob, because it has… a limb. Which looks like this and then the doctor tries to communicate with it by talking into it no I’m not joking
It’s very much… how did no one spot that it looked like that? I honestly have no idea. Apparently they were pushed for time designing it but still…
Next time is the Nightmare Of Eden, which might be next week but we’ll see.
It seems last night that I missed a stream of Sapnap, Dream and George (though it was late) and I’m just ahhh! Sapnap’s coming to the uk to see George like Quackity did and I just know it’s gonna be wild. And him and Dream have been quiet cause they moved into a new house! Ahhh!
I did watch an ep of Archive 81 before bed and it was so good it made me wish I could watch more. Only two are left which I’m gonna try and watch tonight.
Today there’s been a new ep of Book Of Boba Fett which I’m gonna post thoughts on under the cut
First some thoughts on last weeks, because I’m glad the flashback (which seems to be the last one) was of Boba and Fennec, first with him saving her and then with them getting his ship out of the palace, it was awesome having a full ep with Fennec and Boba and seeing so many familiar locations. And I admit I squeed when we got to see a bunny droid from clone wars as a rat catcher. And then the musical sting in the final scene….
Which leads to todays ep which could, and probably should, have been a standalone Mandalorian ep. Boba doesn’t appear about from in the previously at the start and Fennec only appears in the last scene briefly. Instead of them this ep is all about the Mandalorian.
He starts by taking on a bounty and kicks ass, including showing that he still wields the darksaber. This bounty leads him to the Armorer who has set up shop somewhere new. There’s some sad backstory (with the flashback to Mandalore getting destroyed) as well as the spear being, sadly, melted down (although part of it has been made into a thing for Grogu). There’s a duel and the them adhering to the way (which makes no sense) led them to being cast out. He’s better off.
One trip on a star liner later and he’s back to Mos Eisley, helping out Pelli again (and ahhh a BD-1 type droid!) including helping her repair a new ship which might be his, a Naboo N-1 starfighter! I really hope Lego makes a set of it because it’s so cool! Although I wasn’t sure it would be good for him apelli took out the astromech port and replaced it with a space for someone to go.
The last scene does make me wonder if we’ll see Grogu next week, although it does feel like it’d be a sidetrack again, albeit one nobody would mind.
I’m gonna snug now, maybe giving the elite 4 a try and maybe fic more before Ranboo’s stream tonight.
