PORTCULLIS!!
The call yesterday ended up being well over an hour early which was a shock, but it went ok. I wasn’t pressured into anything, which is a worry and it was quick. Better yet, there’s not gonna be one for six months thank fuck.
Last night there was Taskmaster which was fun, though all I can clearly rememebr now is the glee with which Sue yelled Portcullis!
The QSMP Brazil met up has started which ahh! I’m so excited for Saturday’s Paranormal order thing and love how it’s become this. Like Fit didn’t need to be there (or Philza cause he’s on his way) but they are and I just think that’s sweet. And I’m excited for all the pics.
Today was the trip to see Saw X. I ended up taking an earlier train than I planned (just in case there was a delay) and it kinda ended up derailing the day. I’m glad I stopped at the co-op before getting on the train and got the Lego Star Wars magazine and the nee galaxy mint (more on that later).
Because I ended up going early I had a wander round town. I was hoping to go to B and M, but instead found a Home Bargains, which was good as that’s the best place to get the cat dry food but bad for the same reason because I was carrying two bags all day. I did find B and M, and they had what I was looking for, the Lego orchid which had a 1/3rd off, so I picked it up and might build it tomorrow. I looked in some other places (and got two figures from Game) then went to the cinema.
I think the cinema messed up my ticket, because it was more than it said it was, but I lost the ticket as soon as I was passed the barrier so couldn’t check. Boo. Maybe I should’ve gone to the odeon because it would’ve been cheaper but.. eh.
Trailer wise there was one for a Hunger Games prequel (which surprised me, I didn’t know there was gonna be one but then I don’t know much about it), an Exorcist one (it didn’t sell me on it) and Five Nights At Freddies (which I’m definitely gonna see).
There there was Saw X. Since it’s new thoughts on the film will be marked with - before and after so you can avoid them.
————-
In some ways Saw X is an odd film, being an interquel (between Saw and Saw 2) instead of a follow up. The pacing is also very different to the other films as well, with the focus very much being on John (with the film’s ‘game’ not coming in till quite late). Because this is really John’s film. While some of the films have had flashbacks of his life outside of being Jigsaw this is the first one to really explore that.
And it does it really well, showing a man suffering, then given hope… which is actually a cruel con. (Which isn’t a spoiler, the trailers pretty much say as much)
But honestly the different vibe was its strength and worked very much in its favour.
I could go on, but I’m not gonna say much here (though I really want to!)
Part way through the game an odd thing happened. It was right after the cart scene and my vision went really blurry and odd. I couldn’t even make out what was going on screen for about a minute or so. I couldn’t place what was going on or what caused it and worried I was gonna pass out or something. Remembering I had the galaxy I got that and ate it, which seemed to help (maybe I’d over exerted myself) but ugh it was scary.
But other than that it was satisfying and I enjoyed it (it wouldn’t surprise me if they did another interquel, though I do wish they’d do a Spiral follow up). I do have two main questions about characters fates, but we’ll see.
(There’s also a nice mid credits scene too)
Although it was a bit strange watching it without
fleshdoll’s thoughts like the rest of the saw run. I’m excited for us to share thoughts.

After the cinema I went in the nearby Asda, which is just clothes and such. Alas the toy and men’s sections were ash, but I got Halloween bedsheets (a sonic and Nightmare before Christmas) and some Halloween stuff, including stuff for Naryu.
After wandering a bit (and getting Starburst magazine and the second dnd magazine). I had McDonald’s cause I was hungry and tired. It was good, though it seems the Pokémon cards have ended (though I saw happy meal pikachu boxes, but they might be left overs) so if anyone is going near one lemme know if it’s for sure over? (And Hugh I’m sure I had some teenagers looking at me ugh).
I intended to go in the big Tesco and the art gallery but at that point I was too tired to do either (mainly cause the Tesco was some distance away and the gallery was all stairs) and when I saw there was a train in a few minutes I just decided to catch that instead and come home. Which I think was the better option.
I picked up Doritos and some bread from the co-op, then came back just into ofr the Xenk funko I ordered to come (I might try and watch Dungeons And Dragons soon, I had the blu ray preordered but not watched).
This weekend I need to both plan kinktober and spooky season stuff (I wanna watch more horror/spooky stuff, as well as do some of the spooky games I have).
Now though it’s time to nom and snuggle.

Yay for Halloween stuff :D I'm still so sad the Asda Halloween bedding doesn't come in the right size for our big duvet.

Yeah! Awww no what size is it? At the store I went to they had a few king size ones, but they didn’t have too many of them in general
