Eurovision just ended and, somehow we are not last.

Or in the bottom five.

We came SECOND!

That’s truly truly baffling! I was surprised when we got points from the first jury and then we kept getting them (including so many twelves I lost count). At the end of the jury vote we were first!

The winners were Ukraine which are worthy winners, though who knows what will happen there.

I’m so surprised though that the countries I voted for didn’t do as well as expected. France, Finland, Norway, Australia… they didn’t do as well as I expected.

But I’m just in utter shock we did so well.

I loved both UKraine and UK, and I was happy with the placements. But I also loved France, Finland, and Norway, and I split most of my votes between them. A bit disappointed at those results.

Yeah Ukraine we’re a worthy winner! I still can’t believe we came second. I remember our presenters of the semi finals said we were doing well but I thought that was just talk

I loved UK team's ecstatic "We got points!" when the first points came, and then the increasing disbelief when the points kept coming :D I was also suprised how few audience votes Finland, Australia and Norway got, because they seemed like the kind of things that non-jury voters would love - I was especially surprised by Australia's low scores, who I thought had a chance of being the new Conchita Wurst.

Honestly it was a feeling we as a whole nation were feeling! The most I hoped for was were wouldn’t get zero or come last…. To be second is still such a shock

Yeah I’m so so surprised about all of those too, I honestly loved all their performances (and Australia’s outfit was so amazing), I hope he does well

Yeah, I was in shock too. I tend to doze during the results as they're on for a millions hours, but last night I was wide awake and just couldn't look away.

I tend to zone out a bit too but I was saying ‘what?’ When we got points… and then we started to get 12s! I honestly couldn’t believe it, I thought it was some sort of extremely elaborate prank
