So I’m gonna do a more general post sometime soon, but this is gonna be a one topic post!
So at Slam Dunk a few weeks back Set It Off said they’d be doing a uk tour next year. A few days ago the dates got announced and there’s a Birmingham date, woo! Presale was announced for today so I figured it’d be easy to get. They aren’t super well known so I didn’t expect there to be issues selling out or anything.
So this morning I went on Ticketmaster to get the ticket and, although it knew that there was an artist presale, it didn’t let you access it. It wasn’t just me, others had the issue too and it wasn’t just my date either. I kept trying and had all kinds of issues with it which made the whole thing stressful (in a different way to Sleep Token). To make it worse Ticketmaster was the only option for Birmingham dates so it’s not like I could just try anywhere else. (And it didn’t help the site acted I was a bit!)
Over the day people got them for other dates, but Birmingham was the last date still with issues. In fact it took someone else posting a specific link for me to actually get one, rather than refreshing. I honestly don’t know why it was such an issue.
For reference, presale was meant to be live from 9am, I didn’t get the ticket until about 9:45pm. So it took almost 13 hours which is?? Again I knew I’d just be able to get the ticket Wednesday in general sale, but it’s the principle of the whole thing and it’s just drained me a bit.
But yeah I’ve got the ticket after all the nonsense, so I’m gonna be back on my Set It Off fixation (and by that I mean my Maxx fixation) so you know what that means? A random picspam! (In part sponsored by one I saw on twitter)
One plus side to this was seeing these two recent pics on the ticket sites, which are new to me and certainly have an energy

I have several methods to get around most of its shenanigans, but they're not foolproof. The other thing I always do is contact the venue and see what their process is if the apps decide not to work when I get there, because there is always that possibility. Ticketmaster doesn't care about you once they have your money; the venue wants you to come BACK.
