Call of the himbros
So after the last post (which I posted on the trains wi-fi on the return trip) there proved to be one final eventful thing on the way back home.
I was about five minutes away from home when I suddenly saw a dog charging up the pavement on the other side of the road. Thinking quickly I crossed over (this was the road that’s been blocked due to roadworks so there was no risk of cars) and I managed to get in front of them, which stopped them in their tracks and made them reverse. Luckily their own wasn’t far behind and managed to catch them, which was a relief to both of us. I stayed near them while he got the harness back on them (just in case they tried again) and only left when they started to move again.
So yeah, eventful.
Sunday was less eventful, I just watched Brokenwood Mysteries, the new Lower Decks, a frozen Planet 2 (which was depressing as fuck) and then Wreck.
I had hoped, for spooky season, to actually watch more scary films/games. Alas I have only watched three such films (one being Smile) and the closest to a scary game really was Dead By Daylight (for the Halloween event, though I’m not exactly sure I’m doing it right). I’m hoping to get better at more, especially since the new VHS is out on shudder on my birthday.
After waiting for over a month the punz bees finally moved on Saturday, with an email that they were at last with the courier Evri. I suspect they were waiting for the foolish shark to arrive so the himbros could be together. The bees arrived this morning and it’s surprising because they’re almost as big as the shark is together.
Roadworks have started this morning which is… ugh. It’s not loud enough to rattle my brain yet but I suspect it will be, which sucks especially with uni stuff.
It seems, alas, that last weeks Name your price might actually be the last one. The company that was involved with doing it has suddenly said they’re stopping doing things which really sucks (more so cause I found out Karl was going to do something with them). Hopefully Austin has the rights or can negotiate for them to do Name Your Price on his own channel but it seems like a really sucky thing to do, especially coming out of nowhere with no warning.
Birthday plans are now, roughly, that I’m going to mum with town since her and her friend from the library have some charity money to take in (and said friend has a money off thing from Asda). I’m tagging along, so I can pick a pumpkin and, hopefully, get the new delayed Who magazine special. And maybe get something spooky,
Speaking of Who the Who magazine hasn’t arrived yet which is odd. Usually it arrives between Wednesday or Saturday but there’s no sign yet. Did the strike Thursday delay it somewhere that much? I dunno but it seems other people haven’t had it either.
Now though I’m gonna bundle up, I might watch the Bethany Hughes thing on the 5 player, play some fall guys and maybe watch the Xbox uk stream (depending what it is). Tonight is Blacklist then Wreck and then… I dunno. Maybe I’ll game or watch something or maybe fic. It depends on my mood or if I get inspired.

Roadworks can be so annoying, I hope they don't last too long.

Yeah they really are. This is meant to last 8 weeks total, but I’ve already heard it’s being extended, ugh

What IS it with roadworks at this time of year? My street is parallel to the main road and has 5 exits onto it, but only ONE isn't completely blocked by roadworks right now. It is dirty, loud and requires significantly more route planning than I can be arsed with. It feels like it's completely inevitable that they'll get stopped by bad weather, too.

I know right? There’s roadworks outside my house, roadworks when I went to pick mums meds up, roadworks near the station…. Not to mention the three lots of roadworks in Birmingham I saw.
Oh no that sounds so sucky! The one outside here is blocking a main road and so everything has been diverted which is a pain. I’m just glad I’m not a driver/regular bus user cause it seems like a nightmare
